How do you see starters and rotation?

Here is my guess

Diallo - primary backup Morton - MWill

Wilkins - primary backup Morton - MWill (maybe Noah gets some 2G time depending on the matchups)

MMom - McBride - BHawthorne -Noah

Kam - O NDiaye - BHawthorne

Moreno - Big Franck - Potter

I just think Pope wants KWill in the starting lineup and can see the WF and PF positions on this team being interchangeable

Diallo - Wilkins - MWill
Wilkins - Morton - Kam
Kam - MMom - Hawthorne
MMom - NDiaye - McBride - Kam
Moreno - Kepnang

Something like that would be my preference. A lot of interchangable parts at the wing. Don't expect Noah to get many minutes, or Potter to get any.

Are there any quality back up guards still available? Seems like that could be our biggest weakness if everything works out with MM. Diallo and Wilkins are a great 1-2, but having Morton as our only quality back up makes me nervouse.

Diallo - Morton - Williams - Z. Hawthorne
Wilkins - Morton - Williams - Noah - Z. Hawthorne
Kam - McBride - Noah - B. Hawthorne
Momcilovic - McBride/N'Diaye
Moreno - Kepnang - Potter

pure speculation :

Noah will have much more space to get a shot off this year, provided he has worked on getting stronger, getting better to hold his own defensively, I think he will have some meaningful minutes as we go along. We need him to hit those 3's, due to the spacing this team can provide him. If he can deliver, he will get minutes. I think the opportunity is there for him.

We need McBride / N'Diaye / Moreno / Kepnang / Potter (yes, Potter) to be the enforcers for this team. We are going to need to be able to go big and retain our outside shooting threat to go along with the dual threats of Diallo and Wilkins. Kam would look good in this big lineup as well. There are some good combinations we can use going against a big team, say... Florida....

All in all, a pretty solid roster. But we won't know until we see them play, how well the chemistry is between them. Here's to the guys getting it together and delivering !

I think we should start only "Milan" and play just him for the whole first half. You know...give our foes a sporting chance

I think the real question is who plays the 4 spot. McBride is a good shooter but weak on defense. N'Diaye is a maybe but his thin frame will get him bumped around in the post. Kam could be your best option. he provides a stretch 4 look and is a good defender.

I dunno maybe....

Zoom Wilkens Mason
Wilkens Morton Zoom
Momcilovic Kam Hawthorne
N'Diaye McBride Hawthorne Kam
Moreno Frank Porter McBride

That or maybe start both Kam and Moncilovic and just lean fully into spreading the floor and scoring.

most disappointing player-Ndiaye and it won’t be close. I predict by seasons end he will be the 12th man

If we sign Momcilovic, I don't see a path to playing time for Noah. Maybe some mop up minutes at the two?

Which is why I said I don't see a path to playing time. He is 6'5" and unathletic. Does that scream playing the 3 or 4 to you? If Momcilovic is here and starts at the 4, Momcilovic will slide to the 3 when Kam goes out and thats when we will see McBride/N'Diaye. In the very brief amount of time Kam and MiMo are on the side together, Hawthorne will play the 3. When is Noah going to play?
Now at the 1--2, we have Diallo, Wilkins, Morton and Williams. Noah's best shot(IMO) would be backup 2. When you say in what world is Noah a 2, I say in what world should he be at UK. But while he is 6'5" 220, I do remember a guy who was 6'7" 205 that certainly didn't play above the rim and was one of the greatest college players I have ever seen play at the 2... granted, Chris Mullin is 1000X better than Trent Noah. Noah could certainly play defensively at the 2 if we played more zone, which is a good idea of its own, and his shooting would fit nicely with the offensive player we have. The more likely scenario is he gets butt splinters, but I think he has a better shot competing with the backup 2's than our bucket full of 3's and 4's

You’re way off on Hawthorne & Potter. Pope’s loyalty to them & their talent will get them both playing time. Hawthorne will be in top 5 of PT.

So he's going to play more than Williams, McBride, and N'Diaye in your view?

Because that's who he would be beating minutes out for in your scenario.
