Willis was pretty good as an upperclassman, especially as a junior when he had a TS% pushing 70.

Playing with Ulis helped. Fox was a great player, but he couldn’t set players up as well as Ulis. Willis benefited immensely from having Ulis as a PG.

The publicly listed players who use the same agency as Milan currently on UK's roster:

Alex Wilkins uses Excel Sports Management
Braydon Hawthorne uses Excel Sports Management
Zyon Hawthorne uses Excel Sports Management

*Several players on the roster do not have a publicly listed sports agency representing them (Potter, Noah, M. Williams, etc)

I never would have dreamed that NIL money would get this out of control this quickly. It’s insane.
I did
At any time in my life when someone gets more money for a job, it's still not enough. Always want more. Now, take into thought it's college basketball and teams bidding for players. It won't stop. It will ruin the sport fast unless something is done.

Yeah a few former Cats do. Randle, Monk, Wallace, Murray, (and that Sharpe fella we don't claim) just to name a few. But the fact we have several current NIL deals in place through Excel with guys on the roster currently means (for once) we have an agency that knows how to deal with JMI, and at least on some level, likes working with Pope and company.

My buddies uncles dads 3rd cousin just put on a suit, took a profile pic, and put “college basketball recruiting analyst” in his bio and said that we offered 20 mil, so I’m pretty sure he’s reputable

If it's a done deal why hasn't he announced
Exactly a done deal is exactly that a DONE DEAL. Our fanbase I'm actually starting to feel sorry for we are all starving for such good news we are trying to hang on to every little thing and run with it... I honestly hope we have a very successful year but I honestly hope when we get this new AD there is a lot of changes around the basketball program!

Pope is more desperate than any other coach as he's trying to keep his job. This number is probably real. Pope would give him $20 million if he had to. He's in desperation mode. Kelsey, Pitino, and Lloyd are not that desperate.

Both Tounde and Momcilovic are reportedly getting record high money because they waited til the end. The lesson: it pays BIG to be to be the last difference makers still available when the bidding gets especially desperate.

If agents are paying attention, next year we’ll probably see even more players holding out until near June to decide.

I’m expecting Mom to be a Cat today based on what all the people with inside information say. It’s too many of them to not be true at this point. I’ve finally settled on believing it really is true: Milan is a Cat.
I just hope he's the right cat. I saw something about Arizona wanting to get him on a visit today or tomorrow. I won't say where I saw that because I don't want to get into all that. And again it's Arizona wanting the visit. It said nothing about Momcilivic doing it.

Gonna be a ton of pressure on him to justify his money next season. Just like everyone this year talked about about our $22 million roster, next year the debate topic is gonna be whether Mom is earning his 8 to 9.

The fan base knives are gonna come out if he has a prolonged shooting slump.

Whatever the number, this ****’s just out of control. Even if they end up capping this thing these guys are still going to go play for someone who gives them the best chance to be a lottery pick and it isn’t in Lexington right now. Just a total shitshow man; guys half assing it because they got their bag, touch money, etc. Can’t blame the kids though, just the system.

It doesn't seem possible we could be offering that much. Apparently we had offered similar money for Stokes, who we allowed to play us for so long. If we really wanted Stokes, why wouldn't we have dumped more money into getting him?

Now we're to believe we have 8-9 million ready to go for one dude all of a sudden. I just cannot see it.

A UCLA reporter said Yessoufou's deal was upwards of $7 million. Then Adam Zagoria, who's a NY guy and would probably know, said it was "close to $6 million." Not a massive difference but it proves there's always false numbers floating around. I don't buy $8-9M at all.

Just pay him $40,000 for every made three and see what he can do.
He hit 136/279 = 48.7% last year.
$6,000,000 / 150 made threes = $40,000
:cool:

He will be under TREMENDOUS pressure wherever he goes. Hopefully, he is up to the challenge. Kentucky pressure will be very intense, no doubt.

Here are C J Frederick's 3-point shooting stats by school, as an example of the "Kentucky effect" that CAN happen, but not always, of course:
IOWA - 2 years 46.6%
KENTUCKY - 1 year 31.8%
CINCINNATI - 2 years 41.8%
CAREER = 41.2%

Here are Koby Brea's 3-point shooting stats by school, as his career percentage translated nicely to Kentucky:
DAYTON - 4 years 43.4% ... his yearly percentages are 35.5%, 42.3%, 37.0% and 49.8%.
KENTUCKY - 1 year 43.5%
CAREER = 43.44%

Here are Milan Momcilovic's 3-point shooting stats by school. If we get him, I hope he will step up with 45%, at least, for the Cats:
IOWA STATE - 3 years 42.8% ... he had a very nice yearly progression at 35.9%, 39.6% and 48.7% ... that is VERY IMPRESSIVE !!!
CAREER = 42.8%

MM has already said he’s not interested in taking visits.

Pope is gonna have to pay big for players. They don’t want to play for him, but money talks!
Maybe it’s the “quiet time “ they are skeptical about. 🤫. If he can get a couple guys drafted high enough, and win some big games this year maybe it will help.
