Will there be a better three point shooter in college basketball next season?$7 M for a shooter that can't guard anyone is the equivalent of paying Cadillac prices for a Honda.

You’re smoking crack but thankfully you’re in a small crowd. What are you even talking about? With Momcilovic this is one of the 10-12 best rosters in the country. We won't need or go after another "great" player
Lots of red tape involved with an offer like his, it’s coming. No hiccups with JMI either as the agency that represents him also represents several of our current players.Since you seem to know so much why hasn't he committed?
You ask why???? Have you not seen the last two years? Why are these guys so afraid to say Milan to Kentucky. Not something Vague like rumored leader, or a new team has jumped out in front. Milan will be committing to Kentucky and it has been known since about 1:30 yesterday. (Been the leader for a while now but finalized negotiations yesterday)
I just laugh at how they continually use click bait titles instead of just stating what actually is. The worst part is people keep clicking on them, wondering well what “if” etc. Milan will be a Cat, now we need to put in the off season work and November can’t come see on enough!
I feel like a person who is being rational can see that Pope has done some good things and has also had some failures. He's also dealt with an unprecedented amount of injuries. My take is we really don't know the true Mark Pope yet. I'd rather see him get a fair shake with the roster he wants that stays healthy, and see where he stands. If year 3 is as bad or worse than year 2, then we move on. But people have already bet the farm he won't have a good third year so now they have to double down and hope he fails. And no matter what he does, they have to find the negative because it makes them feel better about themselves. It’s sad but this is exactly what several here would rather happen. Problem is it’s no guarantee a new coach comes in and wins at an acceptable level either. We could easily hire someone who flops and we’d be no better off, so why not assemble the best team possible and compete instead of tanking. Let the course play out as it will and in due time Popes time here will be done. In the meantime we don’t need to suck just for the sake of sucking and hoping we get the right hire. That’s my two cents.
Also you don’t know spit about basketball. It has nothing to do without going after another great player. It’s the need for a viable guard with range to leverage the offense, improve spacing, and support substitutions. What are you even talking about? With Momcilovic this is one of the 10-12 best rosters in the country. We won't need or go after another "great" player
Most analysts have said with him we are in the 10-15 range. Literally every talking head has said that, so I’d say if you don’t believe it then you are the one in the small crowd. You can’t possibly look at our lineup with Milan and think we are worse than 15thYou’re smoking crack but thankfully you’re in a small crowd.
under that logic we should dump all the money unless we have a final four team. which means 10 out of 11 seasons we roll a roster of ball boys out there. and also.....no one legit would take the job once you dump the coach you decided not to support.Im not keen on spending $4mil to save someone's job when it maybe shouldnt be saved at all.
While he looks better than I thought. He was just a projected 2nd round pick. I dont think thats worth 1-year/$4mil when youre likely not going to contend for a Final 4 anyways.
because he can commit when he wants too vs when you want him tooSince you seem to know so much why hasn't he committed?

Only knowing what I read about him, I agree he is probably getting a lot more money than he might have and he and his agent handled it well. I don't like college ball being pro ball, but it is what it is. Btw if anyone cares Re what money they make, my uncles grandson was eighth in minutes on a low D1 team last year and is getting 50 grand next year.He will be a good addition to any team. Obviously people want him. But I think the price is because he's one of the only options available. Smart way to go about your last year of college. Entertaining the draft then pulling out at the last second. Pretty smart on his part.
But say he was the first player we signed a couple months ago. He'd be looked at different. We are just in desperation mode as bad as many want to act like we aren't.
In other words I feel like BBN is trying their hardest to make him out to be the next Larry Bird when really he was unheard of before we whiffed on Stokes. Desperate times.
Even the other teams that want him probably aren't looking at him as a make or break type of player.
I'm just telling you what the media is reporting .It was reported they spent $9 million on Bidunga and Shelstad during the first week of the transfer portal window. The rest of their roster, including a five start HSer, Knox, and the others amounts to only $9 million?
I would bet it is more than that.Do we really have to pay $4mil for this guy? I havent kept up on what we have to pay out. But saw that number in passing.
My worry is that this money just doesnt grow on trees. Even $2mil for a 3pt specialist on a team thats merely decent? Idk. Popes off season has been decent, but he still has far more to show before I feel like emptying Fort Knox for him. These players are not giving near an ROI for what they cost, so its not like this $4mil will neccesarily be there next year, or in 5 years from now.
and so it begins. when it looks like pope lands the marquee talent everyone has been critical of and cant use the "whiff" burn....now attack the player for not being that good and over paying him. st johns and the god pitino paid 7M for a dude that shoots 29% from three.$7 M for a shooter that can't guard anyone is the equivalent of paying Cadillac prices for a Honda.
50 grand being 8th in minutes isn't a bad deal. That's after free everything.Only knowing what I read about him, I agree he is probably getting a lot more money than he might have and he and his agent handled it well. I don't like college ball being pro ball, but it is what it is. There were reports that UL had already reached $25 million in roster salaries. At least that was discussed on local radio.I'm just telling you what the media is reporting .
You have been so wrong about everything else, that if you miss on this I wouldn't expect we would ever see your Avatar around here againWhy are these guys so afraid to say Milan to Kentucky. Wasn’t he right about Moreno? You have been so wrong about everything else, that if you miss on this I wouldn't expect we would ever see your Avatar around here again
So giving him that he would be 1-20. Someone put a list of his guarantees a couple of weeks ago.Wasn’t he right about Moreno?
UL reportedly paid Bidunga $5 million. What do you think St John’s paid for Tounde?
We will see this year.2 years of data AT Louisville shows that he can't win big games. He's 2-13 in Quad 1A games. Wins all the games he "should," 12-5 Quad 1B and only 1 loss in Quad 2. He's consistently mediocre.
ul fans are doing their best to let everyone know they didnt spend 22M-25M on a roster that cant shootThere were reports that UL had already reached $25 million in roster salaries. At least that was discussed on local radio.

He has a grand total of 1 tourney win. He has proven nothing. He's very lucky the ACC is pure garbage outside of Duke.
Give him time. you think he should have 2 Championships by now? Winthrop and Charleston aren't exactly heavyweights? He has a grand total of 1 tourney win. He has proven nothing. He's very lucky the ACC is pure garbage outside of Duke.

congrats on being the sacramento kings for the rest of your life with that approach. If we're going to hand out this type of NIL money, I think we deserve to demand a little bit better of a coach. If this money truly is infinite every year. $20mil per season, than its fine. But I dont think it is.
Our roster as is isnt even really neat a Final4. If were putting together close to a top10 team and we want to spend big on a final piece? Then absolutely, go for it. But this roster really isnt close to that level.
Those were two good options. Trevan Leonhardt was the guy I wanted.Admittedly, would prefer Jaquan Johnson or Tyler Lundblade, but Morton looks solid to me as a backup.
How can you say that about a team with 3 first round draft picks and 2 second rounders? If we're going to hand out this type of NIL money, I think we deserve to demand a little bit better of a coach. If this money truly is infinite every year. $20mil per season, than its fine. But I dont think it is.
