Kentucky is the leader. Louisville not ruled out. Everyone else is a longshot.
In the “old” recruiting model, being the “leader” meant a little more than it does today… Now, the “leader” is the program that just got off the phone with the player’s agent, and the agent is playing the media to get a better offer from the next “leader” they are about to get in the phone with.

In the NIL era, the “leader” is the program the player and agent are using as leverage, to get the deal from the team the player actually wants to go to.

I would disagree with your last sentence, but agree with the rest in that agents are now the ones responsible for spreading rumors in their and their clients favor instead of from actual accurate sources.

I actually thinks this whole saga shows how pathetic Pope is as a recruiter. UK has the money and the minutes and he still is hesitating to come here. Why would he consider going to Louisville? They're already loaded probably less money. There's something about Pope or he would've already committed. He's thinking hard over something that really should be easy. The fact that Kelsey is even able to get him to consider to Louisville is amazing in and of itself.

The only two forwards Louisville has really are guys that averaged 8 and 4 for their teams last year.

Shelstad is good
Really good 2 spot with Wooley and Montgomery
Knox
Alvaro
Great 5 spot with Flory and Obinna

Pretty obvious why they’ve also dug deep into the piggy bank for Milan. The 3/4 is their weak spot(depending on how much they go 2 big with Flory and Obinna together)

Louisville also hasn’t wasted real money on non rotation players like we did last year.

Been a lot of local talk radio speculation that the HS center plays PF.

Which is smart. Play the guys you pay to win games. Have some depth for periodic breaks. Have emergency guards in case.

It’s a money game.
