if You look at the amount of top transfers they signed, the money invested, they are trying to win now. I looked at it last night. Looks like they threw the kitchen sink at the portal. Edge, DT, LB, Offense. It looks like they are going all in with PG.

go over to 247 hit commitment list for 2026, scroll down to portal transfers.
247 counts those lost by star rating. They hurt us because they are using KB, Owens and Lewis 4 star HS rating.

So stacked they are 14th…. Check out who is 13th…
That’s a bullsh*t ranking. Look at the numbers. They’re bringing much better players than we are. 247 is much more accurate. Last I checked they were #2 & we were in the 30s.

heck. You’re the o e who keeps saying we’re underestimating our talent and then you post a link to a site that says we’re bringing in really bad talent.

Looked at ole Miss incoming portal class, they are stacked. They must be spending a mint.
I truly believed that when Kiffin left, he would talk all of the good players with him. He took less players (4) from his previous job than any first year coach in the power four. Unfortunately, I think they have the machine in place to keep it going, maybe not as good as last year but now I just don’t see them dropping off to being like a 4-6 win team over the next couple seasons.

We can catch up, but I really hope they have a 7-8 win or so season and we get them in the Egg.

Great! Just let me know after it happens. I'm full up on "they are about to get hammered" stories. Fool me once situation.
The NCAA is a joke now. They haven’t really hammered anyone for tampering, Ferentz at Iowa got a one game suspension and that was pretty much it.

They are counting those four star from HS against us on 247

but let’s post on an on3 site but link 247 cause it paints state negatively.

Let’s just dint bury our heads in the sand. Even the link you posted shows they are kicking out arse, bringing in players with 74 ranking vs the 67 we’re bringing in.

It amazes me the lengths MSU fans will go to defend OM on an MSU board. NCAA has hammered OM before, and they wouldn't mind doing it again.

They have proven that if there is an example to be made they will do it against an MSU or Ole Miss. And they are itching to make an example over tampering.

But the point here is that everyone knows Golding is a temp hire. No way the powers that be would let him sit up there and admit guilt like this if they thought he was long term.
It's just mental weakness. Too many people get triggered and jealous when they do well. And then they develop this feeble "nothing is going to happen to them" victimhood.

History has shown us. Ole Miss's biggest rival is not LSU or State. It's karma. And it's a one sided rivalry.

The amount of money they are spending in the portal with Golding says otherwise. Their portal class compared to States looks like Georgias vs Western Illinois.
And there it is.

This is part of the problem too. People have different opinions on what "hammered" means.

Just the fact that they are publicly announced as under investigation is significant and is going to hurt them.

You're probably one of those people who still call what they got under Freeze a "slap on the wrist."

Acknowledging the blatantly obvious truth isn't "not being a man." It's maybe the first step in correcting the dismal state of our program. But we'd rather just whistle past the graveyard and pretend everything is OK.

Maybe this is why LK left. I'm still trying to make sense of the timing of his departure and the fact that Lacy and Chambliss are returning. This make is a little more plausible if he thinks they're going to get nailed.
imo it's one of the more bizarre occurrences in college football history. You string out your decision after the Egg Bowl and ultimately decide to leave your best team ever to go to one of their rivals. He builds a top 15 program who can compete for a championship and then leaves. It's hard to make this stuff up.

I'm one of those people who's honest enough to admit that I would trade the last 20 years of our results for their results in a heartbeat and anyone that wouldn't is too stupid to feed themselves.

So if getting hammered means getting to beat Bama not once but twice in the same span where we've failed to do it at all (Our last Bama win can vote by the way) or getting hammered means getting to win multiple sugar bowls while we've never been, then by all mean sign me up for a hammering.

What's pathetic are the fans who keep rubbing their hands together saying, "Oh boy, now they are gonna get hammered." Talk about being a cuck. It could serve as the picture in the dictionary. Completely pathetic in every way.

Exactly. I would gladly trade whatever sanctions they received for the Freeze era for the results on the field. And they may get some sanctions for the Kiffin/Golding era, but again, I'd love to take whatever those sanctions will be if we could get the results they got on the field.

The jury is out on PG but he is 2-1 as a HC. He beat GA and almost beat Miami. Lane would have lost the GA game on 4th downs. PG doesn’t look Hot Yoga/X like LK but neither does any other HC. OM record improved when PG came over from Alabama & NIL let everyone not named AL, GA or LSU play. PG’s held it together and the donors are present. Guys y’all better wake up and realize the games changed. Cam Newton days? It’s who’s willing to pay and it’s legal. That CSC bs is one lawsuit away from history. OM is putting up the money and the talent reflects it. The NFL puts more importance on the GM than the coach. Coaches don’t play on Saturday.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put on K.P.

They know they don’t have the status, reputation that a blue blood like an Alabama or Georgia has, so they are going scratch and claw, to do everything to win even if it means bending the rules. They’re going to pay players (before NIL) under the table. They’re gonna go to court to get their QB eligible. They’re gonna lawyer up and do everything they can to make sure Pete Golding is not punished.

I wish we would do the same thing. If we were in their shoes, I would hope we would have fought tooth and nail to get our star QB another year. If Lebby had just led us to the semifinals and tampered to get us a star linebacker once ours left, I would want us to go to bat for him. But the problem is I’m not sure we would do that type of stuff

Well, you do you. As for me, I prefer my beer cold, my bourbon neat, and my alma mater morally and ethically defensible.

One thing I don't do is develop a sandy ****** because they have some level of perceived success that we don't have. There's a whole great big world out there and a wonderful life to lead when you're not measuring your self-worth or lack thereof on the success of Mississippi State University in relation to the success of Ole Miss. especially when they're two sides of the same coin and each side takes turns in the sunshine.

They hired the best coach in their history and had a good five year run. Prior to that our histories are almost identical in the previous thirty years.

That coach left them for LSU because he apparently understands Ole Miss's position better than your average Sixpack poster.

And I'll bet that it was the same group saying Kiffin wouldn't leave Oxford who are acting all scared and bothered by them now.

Our fans, man.

No they count most on what there star potential was or is from hs to portal. But KBJ Owens were Hs 4 star, they signed through the portal with us as three stars. But now KBJ is a four star cause he signed with Alabama. Owens now a four star cause he’s at Mizz. You can see the pattern here.

Amazing how you would look at OM class but not ours.
The DL from FL had 7 solo tackles 13 assists
The DL for Oregon had 13 solo tackles
The bama Dl had 6 total tackles
the OL from LSU played in 8 games and didn’t start but 5

Also, those same 247 rankings last few years your so hell bent on… FSU had the number 7 class in 24 and lsu had the top rated class last year. How those rankins work out. Most of OM class this year is based off there HS stars not actual production. And look at Indiana… 30 in 24 and 25th in 25. How did those work out
