He's the type of player who will reveal what Pope is really made of. Pope would have a team that fits his system, with multiple elite shooters in Kam, Momci, Morton, N'Diaye, McBride, and maybe even Wilkins (people forget he was just a freshman last year). Then you have two elite play makers and an NBA level center.

No room for excuses next year. Get it done, Pope, or get done.
I wouldn’t call any of them elite shooters but Milan.

You do realize that Pope recruited two “Denzel Aberdeen’s” and expects them to play well together. When Mom takes a close look at this team in the brutal SEC…he will take a pay cut and save his career.

Unfortunately he would kill in the ACC on that Louisville team. But I think AZ will offer more NIL.
Denzil Aberdeen is physically gifted as Zoom and Wilkens, but he did not have the point guard skills that Zoom and Wilkens possess. Denzil did an admiral job last year keeping the team from total collapse, but he is just not a run the offense thru him type player. Both Zoom and Wilkens have ability to play point and off ball. I think there will be times that these 2 depending on the match up will switch roles. They bring much more versatility to the team.

100% agree. He would get exposed in the SEC. That is why I see him taking less NIL to go somewhere else. Kentucky doesn’t have enough talent to protect him from a brutal SEC schedule.

He will be forced to fight through a lot of hand-checks, elbows and shoulder bumps to just to get off a highly-contested 3-pointer. His 3-point % will crater and he can’t create his own shot.

I see him at Arizona.
Do you not realize he played in that type of conference last season also playing for a coach who emphasized that type of play

I believe UK had 8 mil for Stokes with 4 mil coming from Nike. I wonder if Nike was willing to pony up if it’s MM? My guess is that UK probably has at least 6 they can start with.

Brea was quicker and more mobile; Momcilovic is slower and easier to target. One can survive defensively in space…the other gets exposed the moment he has to guard laterally or create off the bounce. This is not a good comp.
Brea was a shooter and scorer. He was not quick in any sense of the word. Momscilovic is very similar to Brea as a shooter. I am not sure Mom is quite the scorer Brea was for UK. I could be wrong. He just like Brea he is the best shooter in college basketball and if Zoom and Wilkens are who we think they are he will not be called upon to score as much as Brea had to just create space with his shot. I don't know who would win a race between the two of them, but neither would you.

lol that’s not how that works. You have to actually have the money to “spend whatever” he wants.

If you are a donor, are you giving Pope a blank check?
I am a donor. And i know all of the major donors. And I know for a fact that pope does not a limit. There is one particular donor that would pay it all by themselves. But that's not necessary. Pope has never been limited on what he can spend.

Why aren’t we spending like Louisville?

I believe you, have no reason not to. Honestly don’t care. If we are spending? Why have we gotten duds? Our highest ranked portal commit is like 25.

and I’m a donor too if we want to get technical about it.

Question out of curiosity then, more than anything. If Pope has no cap on spending. Who's decision was it for the following: Pope's, Brown's, the Admin, JMI, the Donors, etc.

1) To let Chandler walk and not pay his asking price (which was reported to have made him the second highest UK player ever)
2) To have Moreno negotiate a smaller deal than he was worth in order to "have more to spend on a solid roster around him". I know we renegotiated it to get him out of the draft, but initially.
3) To let Stokes go to Kansas for "rumored" package worth $7 million and not just write Stokes a check so big he couldn't say no?
4) To let Freeman get a bigger offer from Slick Rick and their billionaire donor, who bragged about it on his twitter feed no less, while he was on our campus.
5) To let Rob Wright play us and negotiate a new deal with BYU while on our campus. Similar to Stokes, why couldn't we just outbid Mormon U?

We missed on other guys, stopped pursuing other guys for various reasons, and all that goes along with the ebbs and flows of recruiting. But those 5 were money decisions. Either we chose not to pay more, or offered more and they went elsewhere anyways. So either we were outbid, or a player and their camp chose another school for less money. It's been reported by multiple outlets that UK only has roughly $15 to spend in pure NIL (not counting Rev share) for this roster, including Norlander and Field of 68. Is there any truth to that?

🚨 Milan Momcilovic Update 👀

KSR+ insider JQ25-26 reports that a deal is reportedly close to being finalized, with NIL numbers currently being finalized and official contracts under review.

While nothing is official yet, this is another positive development for Kentucky as the Wildcats continue to push for one of the top available players in the transfer portal. 💙👀
