Interesting lineup. Supan gets the start at SS. I thought the regular SS was one of the best players. And Delainey Everett gets the start on the mound.

I was wondering the same thing. Hope we're not about to learn about a Morgan Stiles injury.

If we win today, we are set up nicely. Winners today play Saturday. And we can certainly win today.

We have a nice problem in pitching - do you go with the All-American and high draft pick in Peja? Do you go with the pitcher who threw a no-hitter on the road in the regional? Or do you go with the pitcher that handcuffed the top lineup in the nation?

Winner plays Tennessee/Texas winner on Saturday afternoon on ABC. Losers play in an elimination game Friday. WCWS schedule works a little difference than baseball. Plus, you have that bracket switch with the loser of the 1-0 games switching to the other bracket. So if we win, there's a good chance we will have to play Alabama/UCLA/Nebraska/Arkansas at some point.

Rough start. I’m sure Jason Williams will go on barstool tomorrow and say he’ll never come to Starkville again

Have to watch Texas Tech. Their other pitcher is in the field so they will swap them out without them leaving the game so they can go back and forth. Its a huge advantage.

Better inning offensively. Had three hard hit balls that were close to being doubles. One was stolen by the CF, the other two were just hit to the wrong place.

Yeah, that was just an unlucky inning. Could have easily scored a couple of runs if two of those balls are hit just a little farther from the outfielders.

Well we chased the starter. Just another All-American.

We should challenge that.

ETA: She's out by the tiniest of margins.

Yeah, we weren't coming back, but there absolutely shouldn't be a run rule in the postseason that ends a game after a team gets only 5 innings of ABs.

There have been enough big comebacks already this postseason to make that clear.

I agree. Don't the men have to play a full 9 at the CWS and in the NCAA Tournament as well?

Felt like we were playing with some expectations on us and came out tight and nervous. Need to get back to that carefree, playing with house money, nobody expects anything of us attitude we had in G3 against OU.

Watching UCLA vs Bama… UCLA looks very much like OU. Pure power all up and down the lineup. Coach Ricketts did incredible this postseason but it’s a minor miracle we made it this far. We aren’t on the same planet as these teams talent wise. Moving in the right direction though.
