Speaks on the announcement of tampering investigation into his program. What's obvious here is that the only reason Ole Miss would let this goofball blabber on about this is that they are ready to cut bait at the first opportunity and try to hire a real coach.

It's their built-in out.

" I’m not going to sit up here and say whatever we did or we didn’t do, was it right or was it wrong? But, you know, when you go through what we went through (with tampering), and what you’re seeing day-in and day-out, some things you feel like shouldn’t matter that they’re making a big deal about."

Translation: You damn skippy we tampered our lily white asses off.

Maybe this is why LK left. I'm still trying to make sense of the timing of his departure and the fact that Lacy and Chambliss are returning. This make is a little more plausible if he thinks they're going to get nailed.

Kiffin left before this happened. And for only one reason. LSU is a better job. Lacy & Chambliss stayed for 2 reasons. They got paid & they dont like Kiffin.

But maybe he knew what they were guilty of and didn't want to wait for the press release.

At that point they weren’t guilty of anything. This happened after he left. And from what I understand this isn’t even a violation at all (unethical as hell but nobody cares about that).

as much as I’d love to see UMiss get hammered for this, nothing will happen. At most a slap on the wrist.
I wouldn’t be so sure. Not only is the NCAA investigating them but they also have the CSC after them as well. I could see Pete getting some suspension as well as possible some players have to sit. With the CSC we could see the REV share lowered significantly. And by rule you can’t just make that up in NIL donations.

It’s a clear violation. The LB entered the portal from Cal.. then signed and enrolled at Clemson. Once that happens you can no longer transfer out again. It was clear a violation.

Ole Miss is about to get hammered. To deny this and say "the NCAA will do nothing" is to deny history. This is what Ole Miss has done for years, going back to the 70s, 80s. It's a cycle....they suck, then some boosters get some balls and they go all in, they see a little success (although they never see ultimate success), then the NCAA comes calling (usually because they pissed off the wrong person) and they suck aGAIN. Let it play out.

As far as Golding, it looks like he's threatening to go public with info on other programs if the NCAA punishes them. This is the last, desperate action of a guilty scumbag. "I'll take everyone down with me" is not a defense. It's an admission of guilt.

Not sure if trolling, but c’mon man. The NCAA is completely powerless. They lose in court at every turn. Hammered? Where have I heard that before? I’m beyond skeptical but let’s just say they do get “hammered,” whatever that would even look like now. I’d still trade places. State fans keep waiting on someone to enforce the rules. I’d rather just go “all in” and maybe enjoy some success while risking the wet noodle of the NCAA. I mean Cam Newton should have taught us this lesson.

The odds anything actually happens to Ole Miss in this current NCAA landscape is not high unfortunately. I highly doubt they get into actual tangible trouble

Even if it is a violation (which is questionable), it's a Level II violation. Nothing much will happen.

Pete better figure out the difference in speaking to the Rebel Club in Holly Springs & the National Media

Has anyone publicized his buyout yet if they fire him?
om donor told me the day they hired him it wasn't much and they have outs. They have known this isn't going to be a long term deal with him.

The jury is out on PG but he is 2-1 as a HC. He beat GA and almost beat Miami. Lane would have lost the GA game on 4th downs. PG doesn’t look Hot Yoga/X like LK but neither does any other HC. OM record improved when PG came over from Alabama & NIL let everyone not named AL, GA or LSU play. PG’s held it together and the donors are present. Guys y’all better wake up and realize the games changed. Cam Newton days? It’s who’s willing to pay and it’s legal. That CSC bs is one lawsuit away from history. OM is putting up the money and the talent reflects it. The NFL puts more importance on the GM than the coach. Coaches don’t play on Saturday.

Not sure what level violation it is, but the SEC is not going to let one of its members get hammered for doing what other programs are doing, even if they are doing it in the stupidest and most blatant way possible. If enough schools want the blatant tampering to stop, they may slap them on the wrist. But what they were doing with Freeze was much more blatant and flagrantly against rules that were still kind of sort of being enforced, and they were pissing off member schools, and at the end of the day, the process was essentially the punishment. The actual formal sanctions were minimal.

This is actually pretty analogous to that situation. Everyone was paying players, but was sort of doing it under unwritten rules about how blatant they were, and Ole Miss just took the position that they weren't going to pretend. Now everyone is tampering, but they're at least sort of pretending they're not. They're mostly probably not having the 17ing head coach send text messages to create obvious proof. I assume they are at the least having conversations instead of written communications and maybe having intermediaries still do the dirtiest stuff to have plausible deniability.

It amazes me the lengths MSU fans will go to defend OM on an MSU board. NCAA has hammered OM before, and they wouldn't mind doing it again.

They have proven that if there is an example to be made they will do it against an MSU or Ole Miss. And they are itching to make an example over tampering.

But the point here is that everyone knows Golding is a temp hire. No way the powers that be would let him sit up there and admit guilt like this if they thought he was long term.

The amount of money they are spending in the portal with Golding says otherwise. Their portal class compared to States looks like Georgias vs Western Illinois.

I don't know why you think them not being all in on Golding would mean they've stopped trying to recruit.

if You look at the amount of top transfers they signed, the money invested, they are trying to win now. I looked at it last night. Looks like they threw the kitchen sink at the portal. Edge, DT, LB, Offense. It looks like they are going all in with PG.

go over to 247 hit commitment list for 2026, scroll down to portal transfers.

Interesting. Waiting on the NCAA to take care of OM (or any program) instead of just playing to win ourselves seems like cuckoldry of the highest order to me.
The ncaa is going to do something because it has to set a precedent on tampering. This isn’t the player they been turned in on. The CSC investigation is another one that’s looking to make an example as well. They just busted Nebraska out of 7.5 MM on a suspicious NIL case and OM looks to be in those crosshairs as well

Great! Just let me know after it happens. I'm full up on "they are about to get hammered" stories. Fool me once situation.
