Apparently there's a rumor that after withdrawing from the draft, he's not headed back to Kansas but to Louisville. How does that make us feel?

He's a wide body and a decent player. With him, and with the number one high school player in the country and possible Top Three NBA draft pick Darryn Peterson, and a bunch of other well-regarded talent, Bill Self got Kansas to a 35-point loss in the B-12 tournament and the same round of 32 as Pope and Kentucky. So, he's not Hakeem Olajuwon.

His stats as a sophomore last year were probably in the same general ballpark as freshman Moreno. But I'd say Malachi's ceiling is much, much higher, which is why he was plausibly considered as a first-round NBA pick.

I hope -- and expect -- we see that in the December match-up. It might be a good strategy to let the much taller and 20-pounds heavier Franck Kepnang wear Bidunga down a bit, and make him play Moreno out on the high post when Malachi's in the game.

He’s actually not that big …he measured only a bit over 6’7ā€ w/o shoes at the combine. But he’s one of those guys that plays way bigger than his height, thanks to an enormous wingspan and being a crazy bouncy quick jumper.

He is good, probably the best returning inside defender in the country. But (as you noted) his Kansas teams didn't do squat. If he didn’t make much difference there, I don’t know why he will now at UL.

Same guy that started that rumor just said that Mark Pope (BYU coach) is gonna be the next coach here at UK. Gotta confirm through more research but something to look out for🤯
If that happens there will be a near riot followed by a well designed nostalgia filled gathering of some sort by Mitch to try to win the fans over. I could be wrong.

thats a hell of a round up you did there. its actually just 13.3 ppg. and you forgot to mention flory did it while playing 31.6 mpg while moreno did it in just 22.6 mpg. and flory has a year of experience. pretty sure with another year of experience and 10 extra minutes on the court, moreno will be able to average 12-14ppg. its just an extra 2 buckets per game.

So you are predicting a Sophomore Moreno will show better stats and be SEC defensive player of the year ? Bidunga was also playing behing Hunter Dickinson.
Did I say anything like that? I simply provided stats from their freshman seasons. I didn't change any numbers trying to be deceptive to make my case like you did either. Their FR to FR minutes were a lot closer (22.6 to 16.3) than the FR to Soph numbers (31.5 to 22.6) that you chose to omit .

hope they play him at a stretch four with his 0-2 3 point shooting. his 1.5 turnovers a game will likely be closer to 3.
This year's UofL squad seems to be following the exact script of year 2 for Pope, trying to play a different style with overpriced players. He will have to play a different style, he has no 3 point shooters & we know his teams chuck them up.
