After all these years of being ignored by CBS, it takes playing at Minnesota to get that time slot. Hilarious.
You planning on going to Columbia? With a 3:15 kick, if you leave home early enough, you can get there for kickoff.
I still have nightmares about the 2:30 CBS game at The Swamp in 2001.
I have a ton of friends up in Minnesota. I think this will be an awesome road trip to do. Getting out of the Mississippi heat in September for a day game will be perfect. Anybody else planning on going?
Just in time for interim coach Montgomery to beat Missouri the next week and finish 5-7?
I'm just glad they're either away or at 6:30 ... my tickets are on the east side, and it felt like we spent the entire month of September 2025 trying to watch a game on the surface of the sun, while another, hotter sun beamed directly into our eyes.
I'll be there because I am mentally ill and willing to spend hundreds of dollars on plane tickets and hotel rooms to be disappointed again.
We need less, not more TV exposure! All these boosters and coaches are going to see Kamario and give him an offer he can't refuse for next year***
I laugh every time I watch 2014 highlights of our run as #1. They did 2 or 3 of those games (AU and UK I know, maybe another) but you can hear the disdain he had for us. Dak would make some spectacular play and while Uncle Verne was yelling and screaming, 17'ing Gary would say "oh, look at that. how about that." or just laugh and say "wow".
It reminds me of when I have to sit and watch an LSU game with my cousins who are huge LSU fans. Those are the types of non-comment comments I make. "yeah. man. how about that. what a play."
I am driving up since its doable in a long day (14 hours or so). I am staying at the Graduate Hotel right by the stadium. Around $300/night and rooms still available that weekend. My friends live in Rochester, so I will save some money by staying with them one night. Their fans are very friendly for the most part.
I may go. My companies corporate is in Minnesota and have access to club tickets, but I have to be back up there a week later for a sales meeting. Only so much of Minneapolis I can handle.

My Brother and I looked at each other like WTF one game (MSU vs Kentucky I think) where Gary kept saying "Free Rusher" over and over again when the KY linebacker penetrated the line of scrimmage. First time I ever heard that phrase and now I keep hearing more announcers use it. Sounds ridiculous.
They love putting us in that "hidden in plain sight" SEC Network time slot. I'd expect several more of those kickoff times this season
Poor Dave Neal. He can’t get away from us. He’s been stuck with us since the late Sherrill era.
Danielson is the only football broadcaster that I ever literally made sure to turn the volume of the broadcast all the way down if I could find any other source for the audio. Could not stand that guy.
