Bat Cats in NCAA Tournament

Didn't see a thread here about UK baseball making it into the field for the NCAA baseball tournament.

Have to play in the #16 seed West Virginia's regional with Binghampton and Wake Forest. We play Wake at 12:00 p.m. on Friday on ESPN 2.

People were griping up a storm about UK getting n over some cupcake. Just like n basketball the power conference teams play such a tougher schedule. They should get the bubble spots.

Will need to get something from the bullpen. It has been the weak point most of the season.

Yeah....not going to get super optimistic with the way our pitching has been this season, but it's the postseason and in baseball any team can get red hot suddenly.

If nothing else it'd be sweet to knock out the West Virginia boys and rustle them.

Way to go Bat Cats know they didn't have to stellar of a year but at least they made it into the NCAA tournament!

Yep that and stop striking out so much with men in scoring position. I’ve never seen a team look at more third strikes in my life. Learned in little league to shorten the swing and protect the plate in swing mode at anything close with two strikes.

Mercer had 44 wins and a RPI that was 10 spots higher than UK's. I dont think UK was a bubble team that kept them out though.

Pitching is UKs shortfall this year. If the bullpen was even decent, they’d have another half dozen wins.
