247 Board has a little activity I'm surprised you can actually read.
10-15 years ago I worked with a group of UC grads at a Cincinnati based customer. My experience is that you would find them posting on a Ohio State University or University of Michigan message board kinda like the USM grads on the Alabama & LSU boards.
I’d like to sell my Friday night tickets to Cincy fans if possible. Don’t have a 247 account though if anybody does and wants to help a man out 
I've met more USM grads that are fans of other schools than USM grads that are USM fans. This seems to be the same concept that Cincy fans take.
However, here in Hattiesburg they are getting a little but chirpy lately. They seem to think that WE (state fans) view them as an actual rival now that we are playing them in multiple sports again. I now know why our grandfathers stopped playing them in football years ago. I actually get it now.
This is why we, members of the Hardy Street MSU Alumni Club, get so upset when our baseball team rolls into Pete Taylor Park unprepared every damn time. WE have to live here.

I don't think any MSU fan younger than me (60) thinks of USM as a rival.
We have played them 5 times in modern college football (since the SEC went to 12 teams & started the SECCG). Just for clarification in case there are any Confederates lurking - any SEC football that was played only by Caucasians is ancient history similar to The Roman Empire.
The results are:

2025 MSU 34 USM 17
None of the games were as close as the score indicated.
