This is my post:

There’s a reason for that. AEW continues to find ways to improve upon some of their own already staggering standards of PPV quality. If it’s not your thing, fine. Don’t see the point in denigrating others for simply enjoying the content. I would say AEW is about as enjoyable right now as any period of wrestling, for me, dating back to the early 1990s. Is the weekly television excellent? No. But everything is being built enough and the bell to bell action is about as satisfying as I’ve ever seen. That’s just me. I don’t do Reddit. I don’t do old man wrestling podcasts that gatekeep. I just fan. People dismissing AEW because of something someone else said about it is sad. It leaves those people missing out

^ What about that should bother ANYONE? lol. You say you appreciate different opinions…well, do you really? Does it upset you if someone says they’re enjoying AEW’s current product more than any other recent era? Does it bother you if someone feels that gatekeeping causes people to spend more time talking about what they hate rather than what they enjoy? Does it bother you if I say that podcasters engage in that intentionally because the drama drives engagement? Why not just say, “hey I’m laparkafan and I don’t like it as much”?

You may want to continue the “rivalry” and all that with American Dragon. I’m not interested in it. I don’t care if you think WWE is better, worse, or somewhere close to the same. I don’t come here to stoke the flames of some ideological war. I’m here to talk about a pastime of mine.
That’s fine I appreciate the rational dialogue

I would think the E crowd would have enjoyed last night’s show more than normal. The only blood was from a hard way bump by Darby. Only the tag title match had any real cartoony violence.

Take-Okada was great. swerve-Bandido was amazing once it warmed up. Darby and Max have great chemistry. I didn’t care for the Stampede match as there were just too many people.

I think it was probably a top five or ten AEW PPW.

No kidding? Had no idea. I remember going to Rupp back in the day for Raw and Nitro and all that. Speaking of Nitro, is that dude still around?
No he’s banned and rightfully so.

waste of space on the forum. Did nothing but try to fight everyone. He came at me and I reported it. He hasn’t been back since. I don’t regret for a single second.

I can’t say for sure that my reporting put him out, but I know a lot of people were sick of his drama.

Good. I’m pretty sure I put him on ignore so I wasn’t sure if that was it or not. Thank God. A couple more I wish would get out of here too.

I can buy AEW PPV's being great but I've heard that almost every PPV is one of their best of all time and seen fans claim that like 47 Dynamites are top five for the year that the constant hype is just...silly? The passion is certainly there but it reminds me of a young movie fan claiming everything they see is a masterpiece. Someone on Reddit called the crowd last night generational. Why can't it just be an amazing crowd that made the show even better? It's gotta be generational and one we'll tell our grandchildren about.
Why can't you just accept AEW is putting on a high quality product while WWE is serving you slop on a weekly basis? Maybe try jumping ship so you can see what a high quality wrestling product is.

He is spiraling out because his beloved WWE is putting out soulless AI slop on the regular and he can't handle that AEW is on fire.

Congrats to Edge for continuing his streak of putting zero talent over in his AEW career. But only wwe are the ones that give the belts to older talent?!?!
Look, I don’t watch AEW at all but did see results. Trying to say Edge doesn’t put over talent because he and Christian beat FTR is pretty damn stupid. Those two have been around a long time. At least be fair even if you don’t like Edge.

Who has Edge put over in AEW?
At least Christian has eaten some pins?

Who has Lashley put over in AEW?
At least Shelton has eaten some pins?

It’s a known fact AEW has talent that won’t job or only will job to certain people…

That's the hard truth of it. I have a ton of issues with AEW and I'm not a weekly viewer of either company, or TNA or NWA or anything.

BUT...the alternative is that WWE rules the industry and is basically a monopoly. Hell, they're close to that currently. And that...no hyperbole...would signify the death of pro wrestling. At least AEW is able to capture those old feelings from time to time. It reminds me of the good times: it reminds me of early Ring of Honor, of the Attitude Era, of the old Nitro's stacked with random cruiserweight matches, of old territory-style brawls. And yeah, I don't go for the FMW-esque death match stuff or the indy-grade comedy but there's something for all tastes.

Meanwhile WWE's presentation is essentially unwatchable imo. Annoying constant camera cuts, cringy zoom-ins on facials/bad acting, Michael Cole, horrendous celebrity involvement, Michael Cole, constant reference to atrocious corporate buzz words like "the WWE Universe" and "Superstars", Seth Rollins being in every other segment, Michael Cole, every event looking and feeling the exact same, and lastly, Michael Cole. Even when there is a good match, it is brought down by the awful presentation.

Like sure AEW has some duds but they're at least trying to put on a wrestling show. WWE is just shoveling out content or as Dragon put it, slop. Just my 2 cents

Thinking about it, I probably enjoy about 85% of the AEW stuff, and I enjoy about 40% of the WWE stuff. That's why I make sure I record or watch all the AEW tv, and catch WWE when I can.

I don't do TNA or ROH either.

I like watching TNA highlights, but holy hell ROH is awful.

I forgot ROH was still around. I'm guessing it has an incredibly low audience since they went online-only. Honestly, I'm not really sure why it still exists.

But their roster ain't that bad. They got some dudes.

I know they have Bandido and Athena, who are both pretty great. I'm not sure what else is there, though.

AEW Dark and ROH are virtually indistinguishable. Dark became ROH you could say, when TK bought Ring of Honor.
Well that sounds pretty pointless. I'll pass.

That being said, if it gives people an avenue to make good $$ and not have to be a part of the TKO system, I'm all for it.
And it looks like, based on their website, that Cary Silkin is still involved. That's great. Cary is good people. He deserves so much more credit for keeping ROH afloat after the Rob Feinstein fiasco.

I’m a little late, but I thought DoN was a great show and don’t have any complaints.

Their in-ring is truly miles ahead of WWE. I get WWE prefers a safer more vanilla style, but it makes the matches all feel the same.

I have been critical of AEW’s weekly TV quite often and don’t enjoy hardcore wrestling and “flippy s—t” as much as the booker does, but that company always comes through on PPV.

I turned on Raw briefly last night and got so frustrated by the never-ending sea of advertising that I changed over to watch a 40-point NBA beatdown instead. TKO has completely ruined WWE for me and I have been watching WWF/E since at least 1987.
