This coming year has me worried. Sounds like Heck will probably get the call. And we haven’t seen him in live action. He’s not even 6 feet

Drew Brees was six foot, height doesn’t factor in here. Heck is dynamic, has more upside, key is going to be taking care of the ball and not making turnovers.

I voted for Heck because I think he's more mobile. Last year proved a mobile QB makes Lester offense so much more dynamic.
Not really.

No OC's offense lies in the unscripted, which is where similarity between Grono and Heck could lie.

A ton of Grono's runs were designed. And Heck will get almost no designed run called

He might get a few, he is small though they may not want him taking big shots. He may have run option and will probably take off and go on some of the rollouts.

Yep. With some potential mileage in the boot game, as well.

None of the A-gap stuff that was featured with Grono, though. He was a different dude

God dude you’re a miserable SOB… keyboard warrior… most jacked the toughest man in the world … quit popping zits in your mom’s basement … and those playboy magazines are getting awfully sticky as well
Take Eyes of Retard's cock out of your mouth. But that would probably be sacrilegious considering you're one of his groupies.

I saw Brown miss on a bad pass in one game. Other than that I don't have enough information to make an informed decision. Guess I'll have to rely on the judgment of Ferentz and Lester who see them throw the ball at every practice.

Yes. And they see everything else, as well

Me too. But mostly I want the best QB to win the job. I just think that will be Hecklinski. And I also think the coaches are saying it's even and the battle might even go into the season largely to keep both guys (all the QBs) working hard and invested. Or maybe the coaches really don't see any significant separation yet. In any event, Lester had better be the one making the choice, because we all know how horrible KF is at evaluating offensive talent in general and QBs in particular: e.g., Christensen over Stanzi, Rudock over Beathard, and Deacon Hill over anyone . . .
Many are afraid to put Banks in that mix

What a laughable narrative. The hall of fame coach is horrible at evaluating offensive talent. Yeah, sure.

In the end, KF got Stanzi and Beathard right. One could just as easily praise him for twice making the very difficult decision to switch QB's, and twice getting it right.

You want the choice to be made by Lester. Well, who's to say it wasn't the OC that chose Christensen and Rudock? We don't really know.

And yes, if the rumors about another qb were true, which all reasoning adds up to, then Deacon was the only choice.

Do you have a problem with authority figures, or something? To me, if one has respect for the coach in the first place, one sees right through these types of narratives, and does not ever give them any real consideration
OK Mary, what is laughable is your response.

Are you afraid of authority?

Mobile, doesn't freeze up, doesn't overthrow massively, actually gets developed enough to get drafted as a starting QB in the NFL.

Beathard hasn't played in a game in a couple years.
Probably getting paid though. He's had almost as much run in the league as Chuck long from a games played ....

Agree to disagree… yes, having a more accurate passer is huge but if the qb can’t escape the pocket and doesn’t have wheels you get those 5/10 yard losses all the time. I think Iowa’s offense is better built around quarterbacks that can get out of the pocket without getting g creamed like we saw last year with Gronowski… and Heck is supposedly twice as better evading pressure and using his legs to bail out tbe play(s) both are most definitely important but I would rather go with a faster QB that can scramble than a qb that can toss the ball better
Dang, and which QB has the most Super Bowl Titles. Is it the statue Tom Brady or any other mobile QB you can name?

I am one of the oldest Hawkeye fans and proud of it. Played golf 3 days ago at Brown Deer course in Coralville. I got the biggest suprise after I got a par on the 18th hole. These guys were watching my chip on and gave me a cheer. C8E41207-F09A-4BBF-B4AE-DEAB034B0F8B_1_105_c.jpeg

He has said in the past that he was a football coach. He also has said he is autistic, so the fixation and repetition of his opinion makes sense.

I remember when he popped up on BHGP several years ago. His comments were exactly the same then, so I don't think they are worth reading-neither are the replies to his comments, imo.
He's been on my ignorant list for quite awhile now.

Very cool, thanks Wayne. You and Heck got towered over by the three 6'4" to 6'5" guys. Lolol.. I'm sure you'll keep that one in your scrap book. Heres hoping all those guys have BIG years in 26/27!
