What a series! I picked Currahee because it's when they got rid of Sobel for Winters.
My house is 15-20 minutes from the final resting places of Dick Winters and Joe Toye. A lot of PA backgrounds in that story.

I have stopped at Bergstrasse Cemetery more than once to pay my respects.
And yes, there are many PA guys represented in addition, including Harry Welsh, Bill Guarniere and Babe Heffron.
Lt. Thomas Meehan and Pvt. Albert Blithe were also Pennsylvanians.
I picked Bastogne because my great uncle was killed in The Battle of the Bulge, which made me captivated about what those men had to endure during that battle.
