U serious Clark? Matt Jones had a running tally on this stat game after game.

We literally have lost 14 games by double digits n 2 seasons. This doesnt include the games we got down double digits but moral victory a single digit loss or came back to win.
And all that without a pg in the games we lost. Some of you are basketball morons. Twitter coaches aplenty.

Actually the current roster is much different than the two previous rosters Pope has had. This time every player he has brought in as a starter led their team in scoring and there are three potential point guards and backups at every position.

I would have to think with Mom we are top 15 pre-season and top 5 in the SEC with Tennessee, Forida, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and perhaps Texas A and M.

My thought on adding Momcilovic — does this mean Williams or Hawthorne moves to shooting guard? That’s a glut of small forwards who are all expecting to play.

It is entertaining to watch the negative Nancy's squirm and try to spin Mareno returning and Mom potentially coming to UK in a negative light. It makes me a little sad to think that some people use these boards to make themselves feel better by trying to stir up trouble.

The only player we have that led their team in scoring last year is Wilkins. Diallo and McBride, although very good scorers, were both second on their teams. Momcilovic led Iowa State in scoring. Hopefully, we will get him. Wilkins, Diallo, McBride and Momcilovic averaged about 66 total points last year. Clearly, they would form the nucleus of a potentially high-scoring offense and provide cautious and reasonable optimism for a great season.

Top 6 to 8 team? Don't see that even with Mom. Pope is still the coach and will have the team unprepared 66% of the time against power teams
I tend to agree. People aren't using logic and reason here. A guy who the NBA doesn't want to draft is what they're banking on being the difference between us having an acceptable season or another disaster. It doesn't pass the logic test. I think we all agree that getting MM signed would be nothing but a plus for our prospects of success next season, but a lot of these folks have convinced themselves he turns this into a Top 10 roster. Just absurd kool aid drinking hyperbole. Until they show me otherwise nothing about this roster scream elite Kentucky caliber.

I was getting ready to post this too. Morton also did not lead his team in scoring.

If it does happen, Momcilovic will be the best player Pope has ever signed. Top 40 HS 4 star, obviously a top 3 transfer and 5 star now. Previous best player to sign for Pope was Jaxson Robinson, from what I gather.
Where was Jasper Johnson ranked? I thought he was a high 4*/low 5* out of HS.

Many on here hate on Rainmaker because things he has said haven’t come true this offseason. But he said a couple hours before the Moreno announcement yesterday that Moreno would withdraw as well as Milan and that Milan was a done deal here. Take it with a grain of salt, but could be a huge week for us!

Milan would change the entire equation for this team and change the ceiling. Along with Wilkins, that is one of the better scoring duos in the league. Defense will be a question mark with this team, but for anything Pope likes to run on offense, you have to have shot makers. This roster is more balanced than Pope's first one here. There's more athleticism, and as good as Brea was, he was one dimensional. Milan is a bigger more physical player who also can step out and flat out kill opponents from deep.

When you compare our roster to what Louisville has put together, they have some really talented pieces, but I actually like last season's Louisville roster over this one.

The recurring theme in the Pope era is, can he get these guys motivated and ready to play. Opponents are motivated when Kentucky is on the floor.

In two years I've seen Pope have a team with shooters and we were a bad defensive team. Then I saw him have a team of athletes and we were still a bad defensive team. We may as well ad Mom, because with him or with out him we will be bad on defense and might as well have his shot.
At some point you'll realize bad defense is largely a lack of accountability.

Finally somebody with realistic expectations. Moreno coming back and adding him would make us a good team with potential. But there are 3-5 teams that are clearly the favorites next year with what they have done, and we are nowhere close to Duke and Florida. Top 15, realistic. Probably top 20, with potential. Team chemistry and dynamics are something you can’t see until the product is on the court. But this team would clearly be a lot better than what we were staring at a month ago.

The NBA doesn't want Braden Smith or Otega Oweh, they were both mocked behind Moreno and Momcilovic. They are out of eligibility, but I guess by your logic they wouldn't be big adds for us next year either, since, you know, its all about the draft. You are still drunk on Cal's Kool-aid, draft night is our Super Bowl

Not the dreaded done deal.
