Agree 100% It would be a 30 team NFL junior league if all the other schools said screw it we can't compete with that money and quit playing them.

I read a month or so ago that LSU switched their apparel contract to Adidas and two weeks later eleven football players had signed NIL deals with Adidas.
But they can and do give contracts if a player chooses one of their branded schools.
Yeah but that’s NIL. Not paying for them to go there . I’m no lawyer and don’t really want to get into the rules, but it’s illegal to buy players like that for schools. Kids can get their own deals with their agent. Unless you’re Kentucky it seems.
They can get deals no matter if they’re going to a branded school or any other school. They can’t pay them to go to any certain school though . Not Legally anyway. We all know they get away with under table deals.
NIL started July 1, 2021. Mark Stoops first class was 2022 and was one of the UK classes since they’ve been ranked. Mark Stoops failed because he consistently brought awful offensive coordinators and terrible line play. Cal had top 3 classes every year here in the NIL era.
All the love goes when it’s not just the elite profiting. Schools, coaches, and administrators making millions was beautiful as long as the boys didn’t get any of it.
They can say if you go to UK we will give you a contract. Look at Nike and Stokes coming to UK.
