I think you have reason for concern and I’ve been around the game like 47 yrs., coaching plenty. Great athletes and skilled defenders on our defense. I just don’t think our slide approach works so well vs strong bull dodgers in particular (especially if officials don’t allow equal pressure and give soft calls against the defense while not calling charges [VERY few do so, as they also rarely see kids who know how to take a charge]), and that’s Madison Taylor.

Hopkins is tired and shows the nearly universal weakness at scramble and fast breaks situations twice. Game over.
NW the better team but I am stupefied by how few teams can handle such well, and certainly not consistently. Drives me nuts…. Still grumpy apparently other than fact we are 2 seed. It can only help. Can’t wait for Monday.

I see we slid earlier in the game today 
. Cant wait to see how we play NW/MT. We seem to have adjusted a bit to the better imo.
very patient on offense today and, well, I have not looked at the statistics, we have not turned it over much as a middle of the third quarter. And Patillo’s confidence peaking.
interesting that the ole “fastest game on 2 feet” has returned on field level banners. Funny to me that it’s at the women’s F4. Wonder if it will make men’s? I don’t think it’s deserved there anymore. This Heels team absolutely does!
and btw, how may defensive shot backups did we steal today!! :0

Chloe had 2 assists today. One to AP and the other one to Reese King. However..she was credited with only one on the official scoresheet.

The winner of the game will also determine the Tewaaraton award winner I think, another reason for us to come out hot and smoke them.

Caused turnovers — Kate Levy has 21, Chloe Humphrey has 21, Kayleigh Harden has 20. But the team leader — GraceAnn Leonard with 22. (I thought she deserved some recognition; she had 2 CT yesterday)
Grace Ann has played out of her mind lately. Had a bit of a quiet start to the season, but came on strong about halfway through.

I think the article forgot how the referees made a no call against Maryland at Maryland which would have turn the outcome of that game. Tomorrow's game is going to be a tough one since NW will be playing in their own stadium. Our team will have to not only play against them, but they will be playing against the referees, their fans, and some of the media as well; especially the Chicago and mid west media. Go Heels!
Hopefully Sunday will produce 2 wins, 1 another ship for the Women’s Lacrosse team and another for the ACC Baseball Championship.
The media is doing nothing but helping. The crowd is the factor.
Fairly well known that the Northwestern coach is pretty much universally hated. I doubt she’ll be getting a lot of love from the refs.
Draw controls, tighter D, better goalie play than last time. Need to strike early and build a lead.

Anybody else think it’s BS the NCAA puts these events in places that aren’t neutral. They would never do it in football or basketball.
Schools are more than welcome to bid, it's just a matter of luck. The College Cup is regularly in Cary, we straight up hosted the Field Hockey finals against Northwestern, we get Raleigh/Greensboro/Charlotte for Basketball regionals regularly.
In th 80s Chapel hill hosted the Womens soccer Final four most of the time
OGDookSucketh, Go and ask the Maryland fans and their team when they got cheated by the referees at their place when the player NW. That player clearly targeted their player during the closing minutes of that game. The NW player should have been suspended for that and ejected from the game, because of that no call Maryland lost. That would have been a lost for NW on that day. The referees clearly wanted NW to win that game.
Did anyone watch the first game against Northwestern? Is it a pretty even matchup or did we just have an off game?
Their goal was insane. Pretty even though. We lost by 1 in OT.
We had them the first game. We had a 2 or 3 goal lead midway in the fourth quarter. They scored three goals to tie it up in the closing minutes which lead to us and them going into overtime. We had them but we let them off of the hook. They did expose some defensive errors in that game which helped us fix and correct moving forward. Also, when we played them. Betty Nelson played the entire game because Link was still recovering. I do not think BWW played that game either.
UNC had failed to pick up,a ground ball 3 times, need to fight through the jitters
