Awesome. It really is amazing what they've built in Hattiesburg.
I watched most of the game. Troy totally shut down their offense for 8+ innings. Then completely ran out of pitching in the 9th. The guy that gave up the grand slam was the third different pitcher of the inning.
I think just for college baseball we need to allow hockey style fights. This **** talking and trying to show up players is so annoying in college. I think knowing you could get punched in the mouth might stop some of it.
When the "Golden" Eagles went about picking school colors, they made a point to find the "fugliest shade of yellow known to man"....
Agree - and I’m sick of see grown mean dancing like a fairy after every base hit. Why does the camera focus on this every time
D1 currently has Tennessee as the #2 and NCST #3 in Hattiesburg Regional. So there's that. D1 also has the Starkvegas Regional paired up with the UCLA Regional. How bout that for some fun!
Really surprised to NC State still being included. Local coverage is not optimistic, and head coach just retired after 30 years. Longtime Asst taking over.
I don’t think it is as much about NIL for USM. They have a lot of area players that are very good at baseball and just want to play near their family and friends. There is no doubt that area is a hot bed for baseball.
I fear this year, State had a few mercenaries, and hopefully BOC culls that attitude out and builds a program with true leaders who love State and love Starkville. He is going to have to mix in quality Mississippi players with top talent from Alabama and Georgia and blend in high quality Texas, Florida and Midwest kids that learn very quickly what it means to play in front of Mississippi State fans.
And Selmon and BOC need to jack up our outfield fans about being so damn friendly to opposing players.

Monday’s selection show is going to be a nail biter for some people. It definitely lines up why BOC went hard to beat Missouri with TV and Ben. But it also looks like he might have need to go all out to beat UGA.
If we’re really that borderline, I think that’s even more reason to save Tico for Georgia. Especially if we’re borderline out. We scored 12 runs in 6 innings & they were running out of pitchers. I don’t think it mattered who we pitched vs Missouri.
He can start by finding a way to get the catcher from Memphis to campus. Top recruit that I hope most MLB teams will sort of forget about or maybe they just don't go all out in trying to sign him.....but I sort of doubt that happens.
