In your analysis though, don't lose track of the fact that the donor class also includes members of unions, small businesses, our IRAs, and multitude of NGO, non profits etc. The working classes are well represented in DC through all their organizations.

Absolutely, but you and I don't benefit as much in comparison as the billionaire class does.

don't disagree, but I took your last sentence as intimating that only donor class was getting access, influence etc... and you're not 100% wrong, but donor class does include 'little Guy".Teacher's unions are some of the most powerful in the country

Confiscating half of their wealth would provide enough money to run the government for 5 months and then it would be gone. What then?

P.S. Taking half of their wealth would require liquidation of company ownership which would send the country into a deep recession.

Never said taxing billionaires would balance the budget. More tax revenue (assuming spending remains or drops) would certainly help.
And you need to prove that a billionaire paying taxes would send us into a deep recession. Give me a f'cking break.

billionaire pay the same effective tax rate as everyone else in society. The game is rigged.

just to be clear, are we talking people who make taxable income of $1 billion or more a year or someone with $1billion or more in assets who might earn taxable income, like buffet, of somewhere in the range of $100k/year?

Because it's possible that the person with $1 billion in assets earns less taxable income than you or I. And I know you know that. But it makes a difference in understanding the chart

For the dummies on this board, this means that our economic policies have created the worst ever environment for working Americans, and the best ever environment for billionaires.

Ironically it got significantly worse for workers during W’s reign, and significantly worse during Pedo Protector’s first reign.

But keep voting Republican since they are so good for the economy.

Gosh, I think I missed it. When was a law passed that keeps workers from creating businesses, as individuals, or groups? Then the workers can be billionaires, too, right?!
