9 of 10 execs tell him to come backWhat’s it say? I don’t really tweeter much.
Appreciate it sir. Yeah, that sounds like the smart decision but I heard Goodman yesterday on KSR say he was going to get $5 million from UK. No way in hell is he worth that but we have zero other options. I can’t wait until we have a coach that can actually recruit. How you can’t recruit at freaking Kentucky? I have no idea.9 of 10 execs tell him to come back
Apparently it was but Goodman says it’s 50/50. Lmao. Can’t stand marble mouth and balls for a chin.Got crushed for saying this weeks ago. It's "duh" to me. He can't move quickly enough laterally to be a definite first rounder. All the talk was clickbait.
Agree.Got crushed for saying this weeks ago. It's "duh" to me. He can't move quickly enough laterally to be a definite first rounder. All the talk was clickbait.
Some guy was arguing with me about me about how him getting Kyle Filipowski 2nd round contract was better than a market NIL package. This was a drrr the entire time. The only thing that stood out was that his measurements came in high. Why he didn't scrimmage is weird. Get in there.Got crushed for saying this weeks ago. It's "duh" to me. Are you saying the more players that exit the draft the higher Moreno goes? If so, I agree to an extent. He is what he is and I don’t see any NBA team drooling over getting him. Just my opinion.Agree.
The only counter to your point is:
Most of the players from this list of guys would be drafted in the first two rounds, yet were deemed "should stay in college." If many of those kids took that advice, a kid like Moreno would then be a first rounder and then arguably should not stay in college.
I'm also curious about the framing of the question - was it purely from a basketball playing perspective or was it also per the best business decision?
Yeah I remember that issue. lol. Some guy was arguing with me about me about how him getting Kyle Filipowski 2nd round contract was better than a market NIL package. This was a drrr the entire time. Yup - same boner here was doubting when I said the big market was 3.5 to 5, and kept going on and on asking me for "proof', lol.Appreciate it sir. Click bait to stir up a frenzy of “We WiLl LoSe 20 GaMeS nExT sEaSoN” type posters.Got crushed for saying this weeks ago. It's "duh" to me. He can't move quickly enough laterally to be a definite first rounder. All the talk was clickbait.
And 10/10 said Momcilovic should come back9 of 10 execs tell him to come back
All it takes is 1 to draft you.9 of 10 execs tell him to come back
That’s all it takes to get drafted but not to STAY in the draft. Especially these days when you can make 3-5 million in college. All it takes is 1 to draft you.
Exactly. That's the only reason he might not return. There’s 100 execs making those decisions. Not 10. And what if they asked the exec what they would advise of it were their son?
For Moreno the best thing is to return to college, get a big NIL deal and develop his game to where he is an NBA ready player.
But he won’t get the development playing for Pope.
That’s makes it a tougher decision.
I think the decision is already made.
You have to weigh one year of NIl against a pro contractThat’s all it takes to get drafted but not to STAY in the draft. Especially these days when you can make 3-5 million in college.
There is no contract to weight it against. If you have one team that “might” take you in the 28th spot and your agent says let’s risk it, you should fire that agent immediately. You have to weigh one year of NIl against a pro contract
2 year guaranteed. 4 years around 12 million and it gets you to the 2nd contract faster. No guarantee if he came back next year he would be drafted any higher and has a good chance of going lower. If someone has guaranteed they will draft him in the first round he would be foolish not to take it.There is no contract to weight it against. If we’re still arguing under the same premise that ONE team might draft him at the end of the first round, that’s pretty risky. There are no guarantees. You’re arguing as if he already has a first round contract. He doesn’t and might not.2 year guaranteed. 4 years around 12 million and it gets you to the 2nd contract faster. You fail to recognize the financial aspect. 5mm is a lot more than a second round contract. What was silly of him, and potentially telling, is that he simply didn't go into the portal as he could always have come back to UK, but had options. There will be players staying in draft no matter the good advice given. They just do not want to be in school and would rather devote all their time to getting better, Moreno maybe one of these guys
If he goes in blind I agree. If a team tells him if he stays in the draft they will take him that is different. If we’re still arguing under the same premise that ONE team might draft him at the end of the first round, that’s pretty risky. There are no guarantees. You’re arguing as if he already has a first round contract. He doesn’t and might not.
The closest thing he has to a guarantee with the way things stand today is college. He could not improve a bit (not predicting that) and still make millions over the next three years in college.
Apparently he showed shooting ability. Would love to see that at UKMoreno has a ton of upside potential. That said, the key word here is POTENTIAL. He needs to come back and show he has improved his overall game. Anyone watching him being thrust into the position he was last year can see he has potential, but he must improve overall to get into the first round.
He's not there this year. Plain and simple.
I think he will come back and play with more power and greatly improve his game. As much of a lock to come back as we can hope for.
Yeah, I’m surprised by that. I think Moreno’s conscious perimeter shooting form (which unfortunately corresponds with this FT shooting form) makes becoming a good shooter hard to imagine and that form should be disabused as job #1 this off-season. On the other hand, his unconscious form - the form he uses when he has to react quickly – is fine (see the LSU shot). This situation of a of dual-shooting form is not that unusual in developing players, and guys who are supposedly good at fixing shooting forms say that if the unconscious form is good then it’s usually a fixable issue.Apparently he showed shooting ability. Would love to see that at UK
I hope your WIFI failsNBA pretty much thinks Moreno sucks and all of y'all on here swearing he has leverage..let him go Pro. Let him use that leverage![]()
