I always question these distances but I’m really confused how a ball that lands 10-20 feet beyond a 400 sign on the wall is “only” 404.

So time out. VT is scary team and can go deep in the postseason, but the #2 team in the country is trash? Ok, then.

What is the obsession with VT by these announcers? They literally cannot stop adoring them, even while they're getting their tails whacked. It's like Carolina has no business being on the same field with them.

I think they are almost an automatic to be in Omaha, lol, according to this turkey fan announcer.
they're doing promo for the ACC, that's their job. UNC doesn't need promo because we'll be a top 4 seed, but VT is on the 2/3 seed borderline.

People here act weird to announcers. They're not going to slurp us for 3 hours. If you want that, listen to the radio call.
When Glauber came in, the announcer literally said "I don't even know how anyone even hits .180 against this kid."
That's just one example. You heard what you wanted to hear. They were extremely complimentary of our team and program all day, as they are every time they call our games. They're just not cheering for our team like we are.
It looks bad during the day, but early evening looks ok. Considering they started a game two nights ago at 10:00 p.m., I could see them maybe try and get one game in, and then have a doubleheader on Sunday. That would stink though.
All wins are good, especially against the Chokies.

Carolina's defense is criminally under-appreciated. The guys made so many next-level plays today. VT had to be muttering to themselves what it takes to get by these guys.

I don't think the rest of the country is watching this game. I don't care what the stakes are for an underdog, it's disappointing when you have announcers that lean so far for one team. There are formulas that are used to select teams for the tourney and announcers pumping up a team has no bearing on that. I muted the crap several times.

I prefer no announcers. There are no announcers in my ear when I'm at a game so muting the announcers is my M.O. Just hate losing the crowd noise.
I loved that Jets-Dolphins game in the 1970s when NBC did their game with no announcers. Young people today need constant noise and non stop talking announcers because they have zero attention spans.
