The D was clearly poorly coached and confused under Rob Smith last year. They also looked unathletic as well. I'm curious how much more athletic they look with the portal players coming in and injured players coming back. My hope is they are and can be coached up.

I also suspect a few young guys who haven't done it yet show up and exceed expectations. Greg has done a good job of that recently (Duff, Raymond, Kyle M). I know those are all offensive players , but generally speaking playing defense is less mentally taxing than playing offense. Hopefully some of those young defensive players can get in there, not be confused and play on instinct.
