So Ebola…sounds like it’s going to be a real issue this time?

My understanding is that funding for some prevention efforts was initially cut by DOGE but then restored.

Because DOGE had no clue wtf they were doing

there were 50 medical and scientific personnel in America devoted to stopping Ebola spread. doge fired them all then they realized they made a mistake and hired six back. This administration has ****** us so bad.

Any word on those DOGE checks?

I'm going so be rich when my DOGE check, tariff check, ICE signing bonus check, and government victim check all show up.

It's fairly simple to avoid getting ebola since it is only transmitted through contact with body fluids and it has a fairly short latency period meaning if you're infected, you're going to get sick pretty quickly and be less likely to spread it. It also becomes less lethal as it spreads further from ground zero. There is a lower mortality rate with each succeeding round of infections.

However... the ebola variant responsible for the outbreak at the Hazelton Research facility in Reston VA - the incident chronicled in The Hot Zone - was possibly airborne under the highly crowded conditions in the building. Fortunately, it didn't infect humans. Get a variant that's airborne, has a longer latency period, and infects humans....

That would be very bad.

What is a little bleeding from the eyes when Kamalalalala has a funny laugh and would have gotten us into a war against Iran?

Great.

I have a cruise planned for July.

Had a Hawaii cruise booked for late March 2020. Guess how that turned out?

I may never plan a cruise again.

Ebola is really not much of a risk for transmission in Western countries. Most of the things that have it spread are pretty Africa specific.

Except when we transport it over
