My prediction today:

Starkville Regional Projection​

  1. Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball (Host)
  2. West Virginia Mountaineers baseball
  3. Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball
  4. Oral Roberts Golden Eagles baseball
Why those teams? 🌪️⚾
  • West Virginia feels like a classic dangerous 2-seed the committee loves to drop into SEC regionals. They’ve been projected around that range already.
  • Louisiana has the geographic fit and résumé profile of a tough regional 3-seed.
  • Oral Roberts is exactly the sort of autobid 4-seed nobody wants because they show up wearing chaos like a leather jacket.
Dark-horse swap candidates I could also see:
  • Indiana State Sycamores baseball
  • Saint Joseph's Hawks baseball
  • Troy Trojans baseball
  • East Carolina Pirates baseball
The committee usually tries to balance:
  • geography
  • avoiding regular-season rematches
  • attendance/travel
  • spreading dangerous mid-majors around like lit firecrackers 🎇
My confidence level:
  • Mississippi State hosting: ~65%
  • Top-8 national seed: probably below 25%:)ROFLMAO: prolly < 0%)
  • Getting paired with an absolute nightmare 2-seed: approximately 137% because college baseball committees enjoy drama. 😅

We are goi g to get UVA as a 2 seed and be matched up with an SEC team in the Super, probably Texas.
