Wait… So we are not putting Indiana on upset alert? If only we had a Fieldhouse.
It’s not about his strategy. It’s aboutSo his strategy failed. Got it.
A weak class with kids who could have helped Rutgers at the top of it, but instead opted to go to USC and Ohio State because Rutgers value proposition is so weak.Because it was a weak class.
Because they are sick of the BS results and want Rutgers to be Champions. We don’t need everyone, just 1K to kick in $100K. Then another 1K to kick in $15K yearly.Ok, why would anyone invest in that? Rutgers has 0 tradition in regards to football, no history of donors. Lol Are people donating for the love of the game? Usually people with the type of money needed to help move the needle aren't emotional like that. You have to get people excited and display the possibilities of a college football winner in nyc/nj.
There isn’t enough support to be successful in the Big Ten. The ACC is a better fit, resource wise. You're making a case to stop participating in Division 1 athletics. If the school sucks so much, as you've laid out in your own words, and it's impacting recruiting, then Rutgers doesn't belong at the highest level of college sports.
We had a chance to beat Ohio State, ND, and Alabama 2 years ago, as long as we stayed healthy, which didn’t happen. Mohamed Toure led Miami to victory over two of those teams this past year. This is a developmental program which can compete once in a while, once enough talent has been accumulated. And yet - despite all that Rutgers had more starting talent than Ohio State, ND and Alabama just 2 years ago.
Right?
Come on, Man! Get real!! Penn State just blew $700M + on their stadium improvements. They spent $55M to expand and improve their football operations Center since ‘21.Indiana spent that money 2 coaches ago. Didn’t help any of them until a coach with a plan showed up. It’s an allocation problem not a spending problem Al. We spend with the top programs.
No system is going to work without the players.Coaching and system is why!
It took 2 months and a ton of money because Rutgers doesn’t have the defensive players to succeed. We don’t have the players because we don’t have enough NIL support and adequate facilities.Greggy is lost and took 2 months to hire a DC and staff. That is why you are seeing a lack of talent. If it goes bad again Greggy will scapegoat the staff and the apologists will be on here supporting his terrible rhetoric
Greg would have had the support to recruit at other schools so the point is moot.Did any of those schools or All Americans you spoke too think highly of the bowls we went too?
If those schools had the win/loss record or the crap bowl appearances that Greggy has would they have kept the coach?
Agreed Rutgers has not been serious about winning. If they were Greggy would be gone and the real winning could begin.
Winning brings in NIL
Winning gets your field house
Winning brings pride to the banks
Not true. Miami’s success only came after 4 years of consistent investments. Rutgers even beat Miami in the ‘23 bowl gameFinding investors is a lot like recruiting. In fact, blue chip recruits are attracted to the same thing big money is attracted to. Spoils come after victory lol

Since you agree it was a weak class, that makes your original comment disingenuous. It has nothing to do with the value proposition because when Rutgers football was at it's peak most of the Top 10 left the state. Jersey kids want to go elsewhere for college. None of your mistruths or lies will change that.A weak class with kids who could have helped Rutgers at the top of it, but instead opted to go to USC and Ohio State because Rutgers value proposition is so weak.
Come on man! You’re using an $86 million investment in facilities at Indiana as an example. Now pivot to Penn State. Why because your Indiana example has warts. Indiana invested $86 million on 2 major projects. When did those projects take place Al? 2009 and 2018. Roughly the same time frame we put over $110 million addition to our stadium. And those projects at Indiana weren’t football specific. They are utilized by all athletes. “The IU Excellence Academy. The innovative, student-centered, 66,575-square foot facility enclosed the south end of the stadium to create a bowl effect for spectators as well as a bold new "front door" to the IU Athletics campus. The Excellence Academy houses premiere medical, rehabilitation and nutrition facilities, as well as first-of-its-kind leadership and life skills center and program for the benefit of all IU's student-athletes.”Come on, Man! Get real!! Penn State just blew $700M + on their stadium improvements. They spent $55M to expand and improve their football operations Center since ‘21.
our spending is nowhere near the top programs when NIL and infrastructure is considered. Not even in the same Galaxy.
Our Coach has a plan. He just doesn’t have the resources to implement it. This is where we’re at.
Oh ok, sunshine and rainbows...don't you work in finance or something? Do you invest in assets based on how it has performed recently/historically or do you invest in the founder that says "trust me bro" with no product.. were you one of those guys burned by madoff or theranos? LolBecause they are sick of the BS results and want Rutgers to be Champions. We don’t need everyone, just 1K to kick in $100K. Then another 1K to kick in $15K yearly.
Greg didn’t recruit them Urban Meyer! Greg also coached the statistical worst defense in OSU history. With 8 kids drafted, 5 of them in the 1st round, 2 of them in the top 5! lol great JobGreg would have had the support to recruit at other schools so the point is moot.
- Greg recruited 4 and 5 stars at Ohio State
- Greg recruited 4 and 5 stars at Miami
- Greg hasn’t been able to recruit enough 4 and 5 stars to Rutgers because he doesn’t have the support
You continue to ignore Greggy’s poor results AND he would have been fired 3 years ago from any of the schools you like to compare us too. Keep trying this is funGreg would have had the support to recruit at other schools so the point is moot.
- Greg recruited 4 and 5 stars at Ohio State
- Greg recruited 4 and 5 stars at Miami

Which category do you fall within? Category 1 or 2?Because they are sick of the BS results and want Rutgers to be Champions. We don’t need everyone, just 1K to kick in $100K. Then another 1K to kick in $15K yearly.
Remember. DeadbeatAl was the same guy saying this program would win the NC every year up until a year go. I’m still caught up on his thread title. “We don’t win because most of YOU don’t donate enough”. Only to have him trip himself up and tell the world he in fact donates nothing. What a loser. You're making a case to stop participating in Division 1 athletics. If the school sucks so much, as you've laid out in your own words, and it's impacting recruiting, then Rutgers doesn't belong at the highest level of college sports.
He’s in neither. He donates 0. He purchases tickets and a parking pass. That’s his “donation”.Which category do you fall within? Category 1 or 2?
Most people with good professional jobs, like mine, should fall into both.Which category do you fall within? Category 1 or 2?
You can’t even afford premium anymore. Just STFU you broke beta male.DeadbeatAl loves business jargon. “Value proposition”. One donated a dollar every time he used it Schiano would have his field house.
I think he thinks it makes him sound smart.
Way to dodge the question. Most people with good professional jobs, like mine, should fall into both.
