Entries are starting to come in for U23 Nationals at the end of the month. Last year we only sent Caliendo and Kael Voinovich. Curious to see who HWC sends this year.
I'm pretty sure it was said somewhere that Gabe Arnold was going to U23's. I talked to Isaiah Fenton not too long ago and he said he was going to U23's. I would hope to see a handful more.Entries are starting to come in for U23 Nationals at the end of the month. Last year we only sent Caliendo and Kael Voinovich. Was he removed from the team?I’m so confused, why is Jordan Williams still with the HWC?
Not that I am aware of; but after the trials he did publicly say that he was looking for a new home. So this makes me wonder why he still is training with the HWC.Was he removed from the team?
He’s probably still under his NIL contract, no?I think he also said he was going to stop wrestling this summer to go find a team. But is entered in u23. He might not be getting a suitable offer from a suitable team yet. In the portal but can stay put and work with Brands.
He said find a home, he didn’t necessarily say it would be new. FWIWNot that I am aware of; but after the trials he did publicly say that he was looking for a new home. So this makes me wonder why he still is training with the HWC.
I’m over it at this point though, lol. Wish him the best, the potential is there, he just needs to stay locked in.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say when a guy enters a portal he's no longer receiving nil. It seems clear that he would hope to stay in Iowa and maybe that door is still cracked open. He’s probably still under his NIL contract, no?
His post was like so many other posts. It was clickbait put out there for clowns like Mineo and Willie to jump on. If he was not staying in Iowa City he would not be wrestling for the HWC! They are not going to put the time nor effort in to someone that is leaving. Common sense is not so common anymore. Not that I am aware of; but after the trials he did publicly say that he was looking for a new home. So this makes me wonder why he still is training with the HWC.

You know Iowa Wrestling is struggling when some people actually want a guy back that went 8-7, got benched for the NCAA Tournament, and dances far better than he wrestles. Jordan Williams has continually showed everybody who he is. Believe him and move on.If Williams goes 149 then I don't see him staying. Bumping Ryder to 157 doesn't feel worth it if 149 is his best weight. I also heard there were some issues with grades, so he may not have a ton of transfer options.
