This is hands down the biggest news today.
Yep Pope out here killing it. Just ask fangirl/jersey chaser, Jack PilgrimThis is hands down the biggest news today.
A "finalist" for Pope means a guy he won't signWe were allegedly one of his finalists last year, Pope can't even get him with a 2nd chance.
Cause we're getting "Milan"Were we ever?![]()
The NCAA has to shoot this down. How TF you going to leave college, go to the league, and come back. No way he’s eligible right? This is so stupid. Wade will do anything to win though.
Milan is better than any of them so that would be fineCause we're getting "Milan"
Most of their commits need a lot of help to be eligibleThat’s really weird since they just got the French guy, Dessert. I didn’t think he would be a backup
Backup plan gone
But nobody shoots better than Mountain Mamba.
One thought I had was he is really missing out on BBN support and engagement of recruits- which I know can be a bad thing- but if he was a bit more intentional and transparent those recruits would see a spike in follows. Could be a lever he is missing. It’s so odd too, because everyone in the entire United States knew the kid was going to Kansas forever.
Pilgrim is nothing but a fangirlI dont buy it
Same, don’t believe it at all.I dont buy it
I dont buy it
its an arms race and we're losing
It is really clear that Pope did not expect Lowe, Jelavic, or MoD back this year. It appears he gave them a number he knew they could beat in the marketplace. Not a chance and its going to be the same this year. We have too many guys that ‘could’ come back. Holt would never come here knowing Chandler Lowe and Williams were still on the roster. And it sure seems Pope expected them to all come back. Same with Collins - Jelavic, Dioubate, Williams, Hawthorne.
It’s just too many expected minutes to go around.
This is nothing short of stupid. Seriously.Ridiculous, he missed on every recruit he went after. If that is true then he should be yet again fired right now.

Kam Williams and the others may return and may not. Duke can say wherever it likes. It’s not like Duke has not pulled from the portal and filled out its roster. Most kids are smart enough to know that roster turnover is a very real thing these days. And, they saw what I saw. Mo, Lowe and Jeli hit the port quick. Jeli even suggested he would like to return but UK was not evidently going to match OSU.That was not the impression I got. Maybe for Lowe. It's hard to know with Pope's overly positive personality. Still, the perception is that it's difficult to see where you'd fit in at UK with our roster.
For instance, for 27/28, we can bring nearly our entire team back from this year on paper. So if I'm Rosser, and I hear Pope talking about how amazing N'Diaye is and McBride all year and both have eligibility to return, I would look elsewhere.
Duke would say, Cameron Williams is our starter, and he'll be in the NBA next year so we would like you to come in and replace him. Scheyer has proven he would do that.
