Come on. That is not what he said. he never said that was the reason he left Oxford. He made the comments in the context of talking about challenges he experienced at Ole Miss. And what he said is true. Don't like him all you want but don't misrepresent what he said.
Parents of black football players now allegedly saying they agree with Kiffin and don't feel safe driving into Oxford, MS, which has an African American population higher than the national average.
And we have some fans that'd take Kiffen right now.
I admit it, im one of them.
Hes a snake, he wouldnt stay here long term. He'd leave us for a better job at some point.
But we'd be a better program while he was here.

Kiffin is not lying. I was trying to stay out of this one, but you are beating on that man for speaking an unspoken reality. I wouldn't let my child go to Ole Miss if he was a D-1 Athlete. It's not about feeling safe for me. It's the history that is constantly in your face. Nickname of "Rebels" with the little confederate guy as one of the logos they use. The colors. Heck, they didn't stop playing "Dixie" until Tommy Tuberville convinced them to stop. If Tommy Tuberville is the guy that is telling you to have some racial tact, that's a bad look. I just couldn't bring myself to support it. I know that the other Southern States have racial issues in their history. However, you have to go read a book to remind yourself of it. You won't say "Ugh" just by saying the nickname and looking at the colors.
Now, a decision like that I am sure is more difficult for a parent that is a Mississippi native or has a kid with no P4 offers besides Ole Miss, but this one is easy for me. My son and I would just keep trying. I'd send my son's "Hudl" tape to Mississippi State.

And yet plenty of football players have signed and will still sign to play there.
These comments will be like the "boycott" over voting district shape. Forgotten by the time the next season starts.

While I seriously doubt there will be a wholesale boycott of players, there indeed may be some, and I'm guessing the higher profile players have already been targeted by B1G and BIG 12 schools.
The recruiting pitch will be fascinating.
I think the NAACP Boycott and Ole Miss are separate issues. Ole Miss gets players and sometimes gets enough players to be good, but they do play at a disadvantage. Just being honest. It's takes a special type of Black guy to go to Ole Miss. For example, the deceased player, Chucky Mullins, was given the honor of Colonel Reb. Knowing what that represents, how could he possibly accept that. However, like a said, there are special types of people out there. Some that will forgive anything and some that will do and accept anything to be accepted. If you know what I mean.
The NAACP boycott is a longshot IMO. I get the sentiment. The attack on voting districts is just insane to me. For example, you already have six GOP districts to Jim Clyburn's one. To attack that district is just the height of political greed and Republicans better be careful because you have opened the door for political greed on the other side of the spectrum. However, I just don't see parents that are barely making it and kids that have the potential to make life changing money at an early age seeing the big picture regarding voting rights. That's just too much discipline to expect. Now, would I be heartened if I am wrong. Yes. However, knowing young kids and the modern Black parent like I do, I would be shocked at the NAACP boycott being anything more than a limited success. May reach the more educated parents, but that is about it.

I think the priorities of 18 year olds with football and cash on the brain are wildly different than older guys arguing on the internet.
And signing period is in December, right? So even the involved parties will be on to the next manufactured crisis long before then. This will be old news long before then.

The victimhood came in when you called this an "attack on voting districts", and then tried to pretend the Republicans just invented gerrymandering. (A phrase coined in 1812)
