You're damn right something is brewing. It's Stein time mfers
Yessiree Bob!! You heard it hear first. Within 5 years we win a national championships. All these "BOOMS" and "Yahtzees" count for something. Playoffs in year 3, we finish the job in year 4 or 5. 2026 will be tough as I only see us winning maybe 8, but 9-10 in year 2, 10-11 year 3 and then we're looking at historic seasons in years 4 and/or 5. College football has no idea what's coming. . . None! Move over Ohio St., Miami, Georgia, Notre Dame, etc.

I love the enthusiasm, and confidence lol, but we are not winning 8 games next year... also.... you consider wining 8 games tough? LOL..... UK will be lucky to somehow scrap by with 6 wins next year, which would honestly would be an outstanding year 1. Stein will need 2-3 years in roster construction before we see major impact but man, I hope your ultimate dream comes true, I would take a title in 5-6 years

I now rank Will just behind the Bear in terms of all time great UK coaches. . . just on his "BOOMS" alone. No one has ever seen anything like this before at Kentucky. We are stocking up on oodles of high level talent.

Hate to poop on anyone’s excitement but if we signed a mid 3* in basketball Pope would be crucified. I love Steins momentum but he has 5 four star recruits and 10 three star. When that all shakes out at the end of the cycle that will be good for 12th out of 14 teams in our league. Stein isn’t killing recruiting. We have dramatically different standards in Football. After his first few cycles, Stoops recruited these exact numbers.
Optimism is great, I hope we play well, but saying Stein is killing it is crazy. Texas has reportedly spent 60 million on the roster so far. 5*s and highly rated 4*s only. Texas is killing it, OSU is killing it. Georgia is killing it. Oklahoma surprisingly is killing it. We are where we always are. .
Come start of next season , we will have out recruited the same schools we do, and be behind the schools we always are.
Stein went after the #1 portal QB and just like always he chose LSU and Kenny Menchie who was on no one’s wish list was announced. We are getting who we always have.

Huge fan of Stein but please keep early expectations in check. He inherited a depleted roster and even though we had some nice portal additions, expecting 8 wins next season isn’t realistic. I love what Stein is doing but let’s not create disappointment and derail recruiting momentum by pretending we will be top 25 next season. As good as the HS recruiting class looks, none of them will be on the field in the fall.

Relax Francis. This 3* was wanted by Indiana (National Champs, FSU and Auburn.

Texas has six 3* commitments right now per Rivals.

Relax, ride the momentum, and have a little fun. We don’t know where this thing is going but right now it looks like it’s going up! Steins building on the shoulders of Brooks and Stoops. With any luck he’ll leave us better off than both of those legends left us.

I am relaxed. lol. I’m not the one claiming we are gonna be playoff bound with our 3*s.
Pope haters tick me off because I don’t believe it’s even 30% his fault he can’t recruit. It’s Mitch’s administration. Calipari is now recruiting difference makes again at Arkansas. He was getting Brandon Boston, Ewards five star flops here.
Then people laminate it can’t be because Stein is killing recruiting. He isn’t. Not Nationally. Our NIL system and administration is not pulling in TOP basketball recruits.
It is also NOT pulling in TOP football recruits. The argument Stein is killing it compared to Pope is Flawed. We will most likely have a higher rated basketball class than Football.
Yet, according to everyone. Stein is Killing it!! And Pope is a goofy analyst who can’t relate.
If our basketball team ranks 12 out of 14 teams in conference let me know.
We are not landing top Football recruits.
We are not landing top basketball recruits.

The way basketball and football recruiting has gone the past several years, I can understand the “perceived” excitement within the football program as of late, but I’m glad someone else besides me for once, brought some level minded perspective to the discussion…

Most folks forget the fact that, although on paper, Stein’s recruiting looks to be much improved over previous seasons, you nailed it by reminding us what “killing it” in recruiting, actually looks like!

I just hope everyone tempers their expectations for Stein and Co. next season, and remember, he’s going to have the hardest or second hardest schedule in the entire country, and anything over 4 wins should be considered a step in the right direction!

And for the folks talking about UK winning a National Championship in 4-5 years, based on Stein’s recruiting this offseason, and before he coaches a single game, wake us when he puts together a Texas or Ohio State type roster with multiple 5 stars and high 4 stars up and down the sideline, with a $50 million + payroll to show for it… Because, until UK reaches that threshold, they wont be sniffing even a SEC championship, much less CFB Championship.

Let’s come back down off the clouds, folks 👌🏻

He also picked up 4 of them 4 stars for 27 as well. If you’re gonna try to deflate enthusiasm (which I get when people are talking about national championships) at least be accurate.

I know you miss Stoops man and I get it. I appreciate what he did here. There are 16 teams in the SEC not 14. And Stoops classes were always 25-30th in the country and was fading. Last year's class was shaping up to be his worst yet. Stoops also wasn't signing highly rated skill positions. He could get some Dawgs on defense. Its night and day different.

You are far closer to being spot on, than far off.
Optimism, which we all have and want, needs to be tempered with realism. Stein and staff appear to be well-liked by recruits and portal candidates, based on what's been reported, but at the end of the day it is all about the money. Our funds may be spent wisely, but they are not substantial, unfortunately. The playing field is not level ...

I appreciate how far you carried that bucket of cold water to dump it over here but some of it missed. Right now were sitting at number 10 in the rankings so if we're 12th in the SEC my math aint working. I know I know we'll likely settle somewhere a little lower than that once all the big boys get their numbers in but at this point its likely we stay in the top 20-25 which will be in the top half of the SEC. And that includes the NUMBER 2 QB in this class.

Stoops had a couple of classes that generated some of this kind of excitement but this feels different and thats not just my feeling it comes from some of the big analysts out there too. We're getting a record number of high recruits on campus and signing a bunch too and at all positions not just offensive guys who like the coaches history which happens with some new offensive coaches.

How many 4 and 5 stars did Indiana have on their roster last year or even the year before? How about Vanderbilt? They both have great coaching and had generational quarterbacks. Narrow can be that for us. Now let’s see what our coaching looks like.
