We already have an appeals system for those who were falsely prosecuted of crimes. Why do we need a slush fund?

Given that my tax dollars have been spent on this scam, the Iran war scam, the ICE scam, a totally incompetent FBI, and countless other scams, does that mean I can apply and be compensated for all the corruption of our tax dollars?

Get in line. I want to be reimbursed for nonsensical spending on entitlements, illegals, fraud and a giant pile of other government waste.

Are you saying there is only a garage full of stupid spending? I would disagree. Look at the things DOGE cut. All the DEI stuff was stupid spending and it's done. All the USAID stuff was stupid spending, all the fraudulent hospice money was stupid.

If we are going to get rid of stupid spending let's get rid of all of it. It seems like you want to keep your pet projects though.

In case it's not clear to everyone yet, Trump is going to distribute this money to the Insurrectionists so they can do it again with $2B this time. January 2027.

"Congress in 2010 passed the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, which established the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) and included measures allowing the government to provide medical monitoring and treatment for survivors of the attack, as well as the police, firefighters and health care workers who responded to Ground Zero. The VCF provided economic relief to those affected.

The bill ultimately passed the House of Representatives by a 268-160 vote, with 251 Democrats and 17 Republicans voting in its favor, with 160 Republicans and three Democrats voting against it. Many Republicans at the time expressed concerns about the price tag of the bill, prompting them to reject it."

Republicans couldn't get on board with financial support for 9/11 victims because it was "too much money," but they have no qualms about $1.8 billion for January 6 participants, the My Pillow Guy, Proud Boys, and other Trump cronies.

As soon as Trump takes office, tax returns are something that will be used to "destroy" a president and their release is a legendary scandal requiring nearly $2 billion placed in a compensation fund.

The release of personal tax information by political candidates is and has always been voluntary,.. Trump chose not to release his taxes, and that was his right.

Wouldn’t you think Fran would be all over this? I don’t want to tag the guy but he sure got riled up over Somali fraud and yet silence here. I wonder what’s different?

And of course Aardvark, Northern, WDDT and the other non-moron Trump supporters haven’t weighed in. They’re smart enough to know this deal stinks to high heaven.
