The nation needs educated people. The rural areas can stick to being inbred and pedo protectors and preying to Putin and living off welfare
AI is going to destroy every single institution in this country. Including college athletics.
Boomers are going to be super f'd because they have the wealth but not the means to protect themselves. The paper wealth is going to collapse. And there won't be any SS cause the job market is about to collapse.
Universities - which employ a lot of people - are about to completely fold. Sports will be an afterthought. They will get wiped out immediately.
The only chance our society has is to stop AI in its tracks and break up big tech.
Zero chance this happens with the current administration.

Schools are dipping into other areas to cover losses in athletics. Some schools now charge regular students over 1k in "Athletic fees". As was said the big issue was when the government made student loans impossible to discharge in bankruptcy. Schools were given the ability to charge what they wanted without fear of not getting their money.
This a joke? Anyone with a pulse can get in a college undergraduate program somewhere.

Nor is simply yelling "Boomer" and then strutting around like you made some brilliant point. Yeah, politics probably doesn't need to be discussed here, but political ideology and the current state of higher education have been intertwined and are virtually inseparable at this point.

And younger folks didn’t originate the term boomer. But they sure as hell are now the ones who most like to toss it around with a negative connotation. Just as older folks are now the ones who most like to use woke with a negative spin.
The point wasn’t about who invented the terms, instead it was about who’s mindlessly overusing them.
Boomer is just a matter of when they were born and the people of that generation span the spectrum in terms of attitudes and beliefs. Woke refers to a group who share a more uniform set of ideas and includes plenty of boomers amongst them.
Remember all those Boomers who blew their gaskets over Sydney Sweeney’s jean ad? And, those Boomers who criticized Scary Movie 6 for its gender-related jokes? Boomers were also mad about “Emilia Perez”. Those Boomers!!! Making everything political.
As an older member of the Boomer generatio, turning eighty this year, I associate with a goodly number of other boomers as well as the generation ahead of us, well into their eighties and nineties. Most of us know absolutely nothing about today’s pop culture and don’t give a damn. I don’t think many of us ever saw Scary Movie 6 (or the preceding 5) or know what “Emilia Perez” even refers to. Most know the name of Sydney Sweeney but didn’t pay any attention to any controversy. Most of us old men just looked at her beauty and wished we young again.

I don't think all boomers are Rob Reiner Meathead types. That generation is just so large, that the loudmouthed radicalized ones seem to be everywhere.
