Could Kentucky be canceling Gonzaga series because of newly planned tournament?

I saw an article talking about kentucky was in talks to join a in season tournament like players era,etc but of course it was an on3+ exclusive so I couldn’t read it.

could this be the reason why we cancelled the gonzaga series? Maybe Gonzaga and Kentucky will be in the tournament and they thought it would be redundant to play twice

We already are scheduled to play Kansas,North Carolina, and Indiana so I don’t think pope is looking for “cupcakes”

I for one really like this. I miss Kentucky playing in marquee Thanksgiving time events.
