I think McPherson also, but more like a 60 pitch count. He hasn't thrown more than 44 in his 2 starts since coming back. They'll ease him back. Of course, the problem has been he hasn't been any better than the rest of the starting pitchers we have in those 2 starts. Need to get him going. Which is why I think he starts.I think we throw McPherson & he is on a 75-80 pitch count. I also don't really like the matchup Stone vs. Georgia.
This. It needs to be McPherson to continue to let him knock the rust off and ramp up the stamina. If we throw Duke and get shellacked and dont get McP any work then we've failed as a ball clubI think McPherson also, but more like a 60 pitch count. I think we are more likely to see any of Bauer, Gleason, Pitzer, or Sweeney (not necessarily in that order) start a game than BillingsleyIt'll likely be Ryan. Seems like the perfect time to get your 1a & 1b in the right rotation order and with room for a good rest after these starts.
I keep seeing Billingsley mentioned. He hasn't pitched in two weeks and hasn't pitched well in a month. We may see him, but I really doubt he's going to be starting a game anytime again this season.
That should be Valincius & he ain't an option tomorrowThrow the guy that will pitch game 2 next week
But Tomas should be playing in the field tomorrow or DHing, because he is a better hitter than Vytas. That should be Valincius & he ain't an option tomorrow

for anyone that didn't see the post game interview, I highly recommend you take a few minutes. I laughed through out the whole exchange, Tomas being chocked out by Vito because he hit him with his putter, was classic. They also explained why they each pronounce their last name differently for those inquiring minds. That was hilarious.
Vito's look of wonder and disgust was classic.
Duke tomorrow confirmed. Puzzling.
BOC wants to get several guys reps, so Duke may have a short leash to begin withI don't understand it, but that's not unusual.

I'd be OK with that, but I'd rather see McPherson start for the "rust" reasons already mentioned. If Duke starts getting rocked early, you may see McPherson in relief
I really don’t understand what is so puzzling about it. I also don’t understand why some thought it was puzzling for TV to start today. I just didn’t see the coaches being willing to bring back McPherson so quick. Even if we win and he starts Friday, that will be not his normal week rest when they are already trying to slow ramp up his pitch count. But with that said, if we win, I’d expect him to start Friday. I doubt he pitches tomorrow.Duke tomorrow confirmed. Puzzling.
If we win, we don’t play again until Saturday.I really don’t understand what is so puzzling about it. I also don’t understand why some thought it was puzzling for TV to start today. Simulated game isn’t the same as a real game. I fully expect him to start tomorrow on about a 60-pitch count. If we win, we don’t play again until Saturday.
He’ll definitely get either the Saturday start, or a simulated game in Starkville on Fri or Sat.
I’m a bigger fan of the better pitcher matchup than the left-right matchup. And if he’s anywhere close to what he was before the injury he’s a much better pitcher than anyone else we’ve got. Interesting we haven’t seen an announcement yet. This time yesterday we knew who was starting this morning.4 of Georgia’s top hitters all bat right. 6 of the 9 starters will likely bat right.
BOC is pitching to match up a right hander against a righty heavy batting order.
I didn’t realize we would not play again until Saturday. But I agree. If we win, he will definitely pitch on Saturday. If we win, we don’t play again until Saturday.

You might have missed that Stone was already announced as tomorrow’s starter over 4 hours ago.Simulated game isn’t the same as a real game. I fully expect him to start tomorrow on about a 60-pitch count.
