The wind shifted 60-90 minutes ago. I'd guess the temp went up 10 or more degrees.

As an old salt you know for it to get warm there has to be little wind or if there is, it comes from the west.
In the words of ?????
....you don't need to be a weatherman to know which way the wind blows..

Was 86° when I left work yesterday around 5:45, fortunately got rain last night which drove the temp down to 64° around 11.

So they're now predicting Monday and Tuesday will be in the 50's, and Monday night will get down to freezing.

I will be in NJ in few days. My optimal temp is 73 degrees when not on a beach. At Bac please make it happen.

I'm sure the NJ State Police have already been notified.

There have been days over the past week or two where it was in the 80s inland of the NJ coast and NYC, while it was in the 50s/60s on the Jersey Shore and in the 40s on the east end of LI. Crazy what a breeze off an ocean in the low to mid 40s does.

There could actually be some dustings/flurries in NWNJ/Poconos/Catskills Mon/Tues am. We're enjoying the nice weather for now, though - daytrips to Sandy Hook and Newark (cherry blossoms and great food) over the past few days and great disc golf weather.

Hit 92. I saw some 94s in South Jersey. Sicklerville recorded an official heatwave

Warmth on the way out. 80 today. 70 Saturday. Then a string of 3 days in low to mid 50s before moderation to more normal spring like pleasant condition returning mid to end week with highs around 70

Was 89° driving down to Martinsville after work yesterday.

What I didn't like was getting home close to midnight and it was still 76° outside.

So are we going to have our first heatwave of the year? Hit 90° today.
Some hit 90, some didnt. But yes everyone should get on the act the next 3 days. Peak of heat Tuesday with mid to perhaps upper 90s. And get ready for 30 degree temp drop on Thursday. A potential for a cold and damp or even rainy Memorial Day weekend with highs stuck in 60s. Lets see if we can salvage one nice day

Let;s jst say they had to be a bit shocked.
Squan was PACKED yesterday, probably 75% of a typical summer Saturday. It was very chilly, but if you lay down the wind mostly passes over you and that helps. Sitting upright was just barely warm enough for me because the sun was very hot, and I don't mind a little chill. My wife wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes w/o a sweathshirt.

Yeah, it was. and the bridge being out of commission yet again didn't help.

Without the wind it's already warmer than any time yesterday.
