Generally, the same (as to the issues you discussed) ... former Republican, now unaffiliated. Voted for Rubio in the 2016 Republican primary, and that was the last time I supported a Republican at the federal level, due to the invasion of the MAGAts ... still supported Governor Baker (MA Republican) thereafter, as he was a legitimately good dude I knew and supported before the MAGAts destroyed the Party.
Similar outlook on trans. We shouldn't be demonizing, nor encouraging it ... and certainly not with regard to minors. Both extremes do more harm than good. Tariffs I'm more reluctant to impose - it should be limited and targeted. Support staying out of the Middle East, in principle, but practically, we need to be engaged in some manner (but not like we are - i.e. almost constantly at war/in conflict over there). Similar outlook on immigration - we need comprehensive reform to provide better security and a more streamlined immigration process to encourage legal immigration, and we don't need to demonize these people ... and we certainly don't need the gestapo being released to intimidate, not just illegals, but States themselves, if they don't bend the knee to our dictator. We almost passed reform years ago, until the Republicans decided to turn their backs on a bipartisan agreement and make it a longstanding campaign issue they could exploit.

Answer that provides background and context: 2.5 years ago I switched industries and with that got a promotion right before Christmas of '25 and then had a child born in January 26. I went from shadowing a 25 year guy to owning the show. My goal is to have my 2nd daughters college paid for by the time she gets to kindergarten. (And then Daddy gets a lake house on Panorama!). Take this fwiw but I had to come to the realization that "you are the company you keep" and there were very few people on Hort/Hbot that brought anything of growth or value and almost all of the ones that did exist brought the perspective of a retired person. Yes, there are some lawyers that offer value but lets be honest, nobody wants to talk to a lawyer. "This place" is great if you want to learn the perspective of people who make 60-80k a year.... I would rather have the time to focus on my success than listen to that group of people *****.

I'd be happy to argue against many conservative policies and idealogical fundamentals.
As a progressive, I believe in a robust safety net funded through progressive taxation whereby those earning the most thanks to our free market system invest the most in keeping the system (and its people) as healthy and prosperous as possible.
That said, actual conservative policies and principles are coherent, arguable and have a place in American democracy.
Trumpism does not. Trumpism is crony capitalism/oligarchy with a little FascistLite(tm) thrown in for decorative purposes and to keep the low IQ numpties engaged and fired up.
