I personally liked Lemonis, but there were obvious gaps in fundamental play that were not being fixed. Not Mississippi Stste style!

Talent rich area. Too bad he's not a great recruiter because I've always thought that program could be a sleeping giant.
What's recruiting. He's got big time money and can say he won a national title. He will get players just fine. How they look on the field could go either way. This might be the rest he needed. I hope that he does well, just not better than us.

Honestly a pretty good fit. Hell, he could just recruit that metro area and be pretty damn good.

Yep, he's going to continue to struggle because he can't get players. Needs to go be an assistant somewhere. Or go to MLB.

Just like he did for us, right?

Which is shocking, considering Tadlock was considered one of the best coaches in college a few years ago. Guess they just are spending all their money on football and that softball pitcher.
According to their fans, he has plenty of NIL to work with but he was slow to adapt to the NIL era and originally resisted bringing in transfers.

If past events are a predictor of the future then you are wrong. His problem here was recruiting and we had the money and look how that turned out. I see reason to think this gig will be any different. If could've recruited, he'd still be here.

Lemonis might be able to thrive at Houston. A dominant baseball program has not developed in the Big 12 since Texas departed.
There are historically good programs in the big 12…. But they definitely seem to be off. Arizona went 19-34 this year. Texas tech has a losing record. Baylor is only games above .500.

With Oklahoma state, Texas tech, tcu, Baylor, Arizona and Arizona state… this should be a much better conference than it is currently.
