After finishing the regular season 43-10-1 and 22-8 in ACC play, eight Tar Heels have earned all-conference recognition.

Can someone help me out as to why DeCaro wasn't pitcher of the year? I don't know a thing about the kid from Florida State but DeCaro has a better ERA and a better record. Mendes does have a significant advantage in K's.

Because the ACC likes to "spread the wealth." The conference does not want anyone to be "butt hurt." However, between FSU and Carolina, it believes that the 'Noles are far more likely to complain about their aching rear ends than are the Tar Heels.

If individuals have to sacrifice for the coddling, so be it.

That is a very good reason to leave.

Much lower opponent BA and he faced 50 more batters than DeCaro (13 more IPs) and had equivalent or better opponent offensive production. Same number of hits, fewer HRs, 9 fewer walks.

I’d be shocked if any of those guys are gone, unless Folger transfers which I don’t think is very likely either.

I really think Cooper could break out next year. Erik has showed he can, just needs to be more consistent.

Those two I would think could be back for sure, but you never know what a guy wants in life. Some are just ready to get started professionally.
