If you can't see the future then you concede Pope may well get this going the right direction. If you can only support your team when everything is going great then pick you another team to bandwagon or just go away until UK gets back to the success you can live with. My opinion of Pope is not based on wins and losses. It is based on, no defense, un prepared teams, poor shot selection, poor rotations, weird comments, and behavior after tough games.
You can not expect this type of person to be a leader of young men.
I was not asking for Pitino to be fired after a 14-14 season. Those teams were prepared and played their tails off. I actually was not asking for Billy G to be fired. However, Pope has had some of the lowest moments in my experience with Kentucky basketball. I will give him that he has had a handful of good moments too, but for every good one, he has at least 4 horrible ones to go with it.

pope may have had a disappointing last year but he is a genuinely good in game coach.

I didn't want him hired in the first place. However, he exceeded most people's expectations his first year. He beat a lot of blue bloods, and made it to the Sweet 16 with a team he assembled in about 3-4 weeks.
I'm hoping last season was an anomaly. There were lots of injuries and behind the scenes drama with players.
This year he will have no excuses. If he can't deliver, he needs to go.

I thought you meant one of us. I assume his dad meant a potential resurgence but I see what you mean from his statement. Criticizing a recruits dad for being positive about our program is something I would certainly never do so I never would have thought in those terms.
