Now see that is a legitimate issue worthy of debate. That affects many people (both good and bad).
My view on immigration:
- Government should take steps to drop the flow of illegal immigrants to the border. While I don’t like his methods at all I give Trump credit for reducing the inflow
- Government should lock up or expel all violent criminals here illegally. This should be the focus of ICE
- Dreamers should be given an expedited path to citizenship
- For the rest of those here illegally I think we should handle this on a case by case basis. If you have been here for years and are making a positive contribution with no criminal history then I have no issue with giving you a path to citizenship. But I would not extend this to those coming illegally now. Basically draw a line in the sand so as not to encourage more illegal immigration
- We should streamline our process for citizenship/ permanent residency for people making a positive contribution to society.
- ICE agents should have to show their face, provide a badge #, wear identifiable clothing and be held accountable if they violate policy or the law

Dear Trump Cultist: you should come out to Northern California some time and actually drive over the Donner Pass before pronouncing tt ultra treacherous. FYI the main route over the Donner Pass is Interstate 80, a federal, Interstate highway that runs from San Francisco to New York. I own a place on Tahoe's North Shore, and I drive over the Donner Pas over ten times each year. I-80 is well maintained, and is a minimum of two (2) lanes wide, with ample shoulder, all of the way over Donner Pass. In spots, it is three (3) lanes wide.
Sure, it snows at times during the winter, particularly over Donner Pass. And it can be windy as well. But CalTrans has an ARMY of snow plows that keep I-80 plowed at all times. I-80 carries a whole lot of semi-truck traffic at all times of year, even over Donner Pass. The town of Truckee is just 5 miles down the hill from Donner Pass, and every one of those kids, and their parents, has ridden over Donner Pass hundreds of times. Thee is NO family in that area that does not own a four wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle.
So spare us the wailing and gnashing of teeth about the poor children who have to navigate the Donner Pass.
