Pope had some big wins in 2024. We beat Duke, UL, Gonzaga, #1 Florida, etc.

I would like to see what he can do with a healthy roster.
I’ve said all along we have had back to back historical level of injuries. That doesn’t excuse 26 losses (or whatever the total is)! But we’ve also bested I think 12 top 20 teams those 2 seasons. Have we ever done that over a 2 season period? I’m not sure Cal did had 12 over his last 4 UK seasons combined. So it’s been sort of a Jeykle & Hyde past 2 years.

Lmao he tied the record for wins vs top 15 teams in his first year at UK. That’s an accomplishment. ALL while battling MAJOR injuries. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
He also got ran off the floor vs Ohio State, Georgia, Arkansas, Ole Miss, lost to a terrible Texas team. There were as many unimpressive losses year 1 as there was impressive wins. We couldn’t hang with Alabama. 0-3. Tennessee killed us in the tourney. Year 1 was average to below average at best.

Agreed. There’s some sort of disconnect with game prep and/or motivation sometimes. I totally agree with that. Idk what the issue is, nor do I know the remedy to fix said issue. We do come out flat in quite a few games and it’s bizarre.

Anyway, we were battling major injuries and played one hell of a schedule. My point still stands, we beat 8 top 15 teams all while battling major injuries. Hell, we beat the eventual national champs. With a fair whistle we beat them by 20+ in that particular game. Refs kept Florida within striking distance. I remember that game very well.

I’m honestly hoping Pope and the staff can figure out why we come out flat in a lot of games. Idk if it’s lack of preparation or what. If the guys just aren’t motivated in some games. Idk, but it does need to be fixed. I agree with you on that.

Are we really talking about wins 2 years ago? Do not forget to mention, Joe B. Hall had some big upsets in his last year in the NCAA tournament too.
Like the season before last and 1985 are anywhere near the same difference. The guy has only been here two years and you aren't even allowed to mention the first? This is clearly absurd.

A win in 2024, injuries, refs cheated us out of games, wins against our strength of schedule, JMI, Mitch, coaches using negative fans against him, boosters will not give him money, excuse, excuse, excuse.... That is what is clearly absurd.

THE GUY IS NOT FOR THIS JOB! Face the music and get him out of town. That is FACTS!

I thought it was awesome in 2007 when Kentucky football went 8-5, beat national champion LSU in the regular season, and won the music city bowl. That was a very successful Kentucky football season.
however, I did not think it was awesome when 2024-25 Kentucky went 24-12, beat national champion Florida in the regular season, and went to the sweet 16.
I hope this makes sense.

We don’t need 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- We need a team full of Kam’s ,Zooms & Hawthornes .
If we want to reach the Final Four we need better players than those guys. They don't have to be 5 star freshmen, but the current roster is .50 at best. The automatic disdain of 5 star guys in segments of the fanbase is brought on by hatred of Calipari.

+recruits think that Pope is weird. Although, that's not a very good excuse.

IMO, we come out flat in most of our games because Pope is a laid back coach and our team is a reflection of that. He is not a fiery, demanding coach and the players don't have to play hard. Not to mention he subs guys out after 4 minutes because he says they're tired. That is a soft mentality and we play that way. Pope is the biggest problem we have.

Have we ever lost 14 games by double digits in a coaches first 2 seasons here? Maybe Clyde idk.

Definitely jeckyl and Hyde

Did that team start with no returning players or have significant injuries to its best players?

Not one recruit has said that

well dip **** I am basically saying that you are comparing apples to zucchinis
Like I said, it doesn’t make sense to you, you’re a little slow minded. A little special. No need to respond to things you can’t make sense of. Have a good day, 🫡

You are just another Pope hater who could not rub 2 basketball brain cells together in an emergency. But enjoy the hate wagon...
You say Pope hater. I say realist. I bet I know more about basketball than you. I also bet I would destroy you if we actually played the game too. Go cry in the corner somewhere.

You sound like a little cry baby if I’m being honest. Go play in traffic.

You believe you can see the future when you can not. You consistently mistake your opinion for fact.

I do not see the future. I learn from my mistakes. And my mistake was watching a Pope coached team. So, I stopped watching last year. I have been a fan of the program longer than Pope. I am from Kentucky and I am "one of us". Pope can go back to UTAH.
