I hate losing anything to them but Avent does a good job with them and their lineup is dangerous. Glad to see the Morehead boy get a win. I think we had his older brother for a year or 2. They could win a game or 2 in a regional but without their starting pitchers they have very little chance to advance anywhere.

Nah, I disagree with you. I don’t like stooping to their level unless it gets really bad. That’s what they want us to do. Me not saying anything for the first six innings while they ran their mouths ***** them off. It wasn’t until it got really bad that I started talking back. I have three kids, and I would be pretty angry if anyone questioned my parenting. I’m not perfect though! When the dad told his son that he should laugh at us because we were a bunch of losers, I did tell him that I wasn’t shocked that a state fan was such a failure at being a parent, and that if he looked in the mirror then he would see who the real loser was. I did feel a little bad stooping to his level, but he ran his mouth for two hours.

Also, how hard is it to say Jake’s name correctly? The announcer said his last name incorrectly the entire weekend!

All the whining about state fans is comical. Give them the same attitude they give you and usually they’ll shut up. Ask them what year did they get rejected from Carolina. If your beer happens to spill a little into their lap, that’s okay too. We whine about them, but give them some crap too. This holier than thou nonsense is why our fanbase is soft and our stadiums get taken over by other fans.

Actually, in the 50+ years I have attended UNC football, basketball and baseball games in Raleigh, I have found the quickest wat to shut them up is to ignore them. In general, they are instigators, looking to cause a confrontation with their insults. I've heard all of the horror stories about incidents in Raleigh, and I can say I have never experienced one, and the reason is I don't respond to their insults / slurs. Maybe that makes me "soft" in your opinion.

Solid weekend for the Heels still. Removes any doubt about us being top 8. Still will be ranked 4th in the major polls this week. And should be seeded right about 4th in the NCAAT.

It’s possible they won’t drop us, but GT and UGA admittedly both had more impressive weekends than us. We will be anywhere from #2 to #4 this week. And likely #4 national seed in the NCAAT.

Mercer is 26 in the RPI, and GT swept a top 25 team on the road. Yes, Georgia got whipped yesterday, but they won the series against a top 5 team.
