I definitely consider Oakland a much worse loss. Largest point differential and worst loss are not the same thing. It is not actually largest differential ever either but equaled the largest since 1972. UK lost by 24 to WKU in 1971.

This year’s team is better on paper for a few reasons
1. 5 returners including 2 RedShirts - All a year older & stronger
2. 3 point guards with 120 starts between them plus experience
3. No Ball hogs
4. 2 power forwards who can score
5. 2 back up Centers who will push for PT.
6. Hawthorne - Taller & stronger
7. Enough depth to not lose momentum in case of foul or injury issues

8. Pope is still the coach - oh. Never mind.

We are in May. Any reasonable person who knows basketball will tell you with the pieces we have assembled we are only one or two
superstars from being a final four team. On paper this team is much better than last year. Not a final four team. But better than last year.

Anyone who has played knows it all starts with a point guard. We had none last year . We have two excellent ones and two backups.

Mareno will be much better in year two . the Senegal kid is for real. Williams and Hawthorne are above average players.

Yes we need an outstanding 4/5 capable of starting and or playing 27 to 30 minutes . and we need a Dude. That is two players and
it is only May for God's sake. Why tear the program down now? It is only counter productive. Gives other coaches fodder to show recruits as
to how crazy our fans are . Let it play out. If the chicken littles on this board are right then a change will be made .

But don't get your jockstraps in a wad before recruiting is OVER/ and don't believe every idiot on this board. Many are not UK fans.

The other fan bases cannot approach the volume from our sheer numbers and some of our fans make Cowboys yahoos seem tame and kindly at times.
In fact, a lot of our fans are as supportive as Linebeard Nation some over decades now and many more have been straight up hostile to the program since 38-1 broke their minds and now the "fan" strictly by ripping players and slamming coaches.

No, the parents don’t. Also, I played in college so I like to think I know how some of it works and if you give me 22 million I guarantee I could spend it better and have a better record.
