We'll be there tomorrow and Sunday. Everyone thinks this will be a birdie fest. They really need minimal rain tonight and hopefully by Sunday it will be firm and fast. Aronimink looks nothing like 30 years ago with all the tree removal.

Just landed in Philly, the place will never be the same. I got kicked off 25 years ago when my buddy and I were sneaking in on a Monday.

Great visuals here at Aronimink. Flawless shuttle system getting on property. Big crowds out early to see the featured groups. We can literally see parts of 11 different holes from the pavilion on 17. Looks like the course is holding up well considering this should be the easiest round for scoring after the rain last night.

Hope you and Mrs R had a great time today. I was surprised to see everyone dressed as if it was chilly. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Looking forward to your Sunday photos.

Very tough course. 36 holes deep and the leaders are 4 under. Some of the players aren’t happy with the pin placements and course difficulty but you know what; I’m not happy watching a major that is won by a golfer shooting -20.
Suck it up!

We had a blast. You still hanging out in Colorado? We're going back in August, itinerary TBD.

We cashed out of CO last October. Someone made us an offer that was illogical.

We're spending this summer visiting new places and hoping for a market crash (2000, 2008) to generate some buying opportunities.

Can you do me a favor tomorrow? Before it gets too crowded can you take some ground level shots that depict the slope and undulation of the greens near your grandstand?

I suspect the TV cameras don't properly show just how nasty they are. TIA

Tomorrow will be very exciting. There must be at least 15-20 guys that are in contention. This is the kind of Sunday I like to see at a major championship!

My wife and I were there Thursday. I really enjoyed the day. What really got me is that I read Aronimink has $150,000 initiation fee. The course was nice but not that nice. My wife would kill me if I told her I just spent $150,000 to join a golf club.

150K is dirt cheap. I'm sure it's invite only at that price - in addition to probably 30-40K/year in dues, etc.

The club I work at part time just went to 275K.

I have a website to share with you and others next week regarding Florida country club initiation and annual membership dues. I would do it now but don’t want to hi-jack this thread.

Attended the Saturday round. We got there around 7AM, and that was a smart play as we got ahead of most of the crowd. Set up near the 13th green, and saw more than a few guys crush their tee shots from 292.

The course is far more hilly than what you see on TV. I think the organization was great, from the offsite parking/transport to the way the volunteers handled the viistors. The best move was setting up one price for entrance/food, soft drinks, snacks and water. That eliminated a lot of long waits, even though the lines were long - they moved quickly and efficiently.

We caught good weather on Sat - Thurs and Friday were not great.

The crowd following Rory was pretty impressive.

Good experience - today looks like it's going to be a good finish.

We need a name I can stomach to either rise or stay (Smalley) where they're at. A few (to me) unlikable guys on the first and second page of the leaderboard.

I like Smalley and I love his putter grip. Not some pu$$y oversized thing, but an old school skinny black Ping putter grip. I'll take "actual feel" over "reduced wrist action" any day.
