They were and they received more, not that hard to comprehend. Louisville is a school whose athletic program is hemorrhaging money and is having to cut programs every D1 school has, so yes they won’t be able to continue to spend this way. It’s unsustainable in the long run, come back in 3-4 years and you’ll see I’m right.
Is that anything like coming back in a week to see who has the better portal haul? You're literally never right about anything and reasonably intelligent posters here (there aren't many) see right through the charade. Is "they received more" kind of like "something must've changed" anything like what happened when literally none of your predictions panned out? I can't believe some of these ignorant rubes still think any of your "inside information" is worth 💩

This guy hasn’t even directly talked to schools yet and we’re expected to believe we’re already out of the mix?

We should have plenty of money. If donors are truly freezing out Pope then they need to go ahead & fire him. What’s the point, otherwise? It’s not fair to Pope, the team OR the fans to withhold money, NOW.

And, there’s no need to waste a season & bring him back if he doesn’t have the support. Either let him go or give him what he needs. Handcuffing him at this point isn’t helping ANYTHING.

I get it that they likely don’t trust him to spend it properly. But, we’re in the endgame & not much left to choose from, anyway. I’m not happy at all with Pope, but, this isn’t the way.

I know I’m making a big assumption. But, why else wouldn’t we have the money to compete here?! ESPECIALLY if Moreno stays in the draft.
Why give him money? He was given a blank check last year. Let's see what he can do when he has to coach.

A reminder that Goodman was completely wrong about the UNC coaching search, melted down when he was surprised by the Mike Malone hire, and spent days attacking UNC fans who mocked him.

Meanwhile I, a random message board poster, even mentioned Mike Malone as a potential candidate on this very board. Goodman knew less than a random guy on the internet.

Or maybe Pope was told UK is no longer being considered… might be time to look elsewhere for a replacement
Agree. IF this guy comes back to college…he is basically saying he is going to UL. RP is WAY too defensive minded to land this guy. Time to move on!

He’s one of them, but he hasn’t been with Pope at the helm. I think he’s just calling it as he sees it. Momolivic if he plays college next year he’s gonna command top dollar and Pope can’t get into a bidding contest. He just doesn’t have the money behind him. I think if we had a new athletic director last year as we should have you know we we will be right now gearing up for a hopeful season.. I don’t I don’t like Goodman either but this instance we just don’t have the money
Are you kidding me this whole off-season he has trolled every person that Pope has signed

Hopefully, we offer him enough to stay out of the draft. A ridiculous number that UL and Johns cant even compete, but if not, you probably are getting fired next year. Do what it takes or bye, bye Mark.

How exactly is this trolling? Outside of Rafter’s here, no one has ever claimed UK would be a serious contender for him and there’s a mountain of evidence at this point that players are ok with less pay if it means not playing for Pope.

He "loved" Pope at first. Since early last season, he's been bashing him constantly. He knows which way the wind is blowing.
Not saying I disagree with him, but that's a sh*tty way to treat a supposed friend. Goodman is a typical media worm.

Bashing? Or just being honest about the state of the program. I don't even like Goodman but i think hes been fair with even a positive lean.

Cesspool and to stupid to know fake from real. If Moreno is a first rounder then Pope must be the greatest big man coach in basketball. From 3rd string to first round, bad hands and all.

The worst thing to really happen to Kentucky basketball is when cal signed the lifetime contract. Now it's time to watch little house on the prairie, not care about sec tournament and have great players get beat by mid majors. Someone said Pope couldn't figure out a full court press, cal couldn't play a zone, his teams couldn't hit free throws, and he couldn't call timeouts properly.

I think Pope will be gone if not having a good year. Every little thing though, since social media is now popular than ever fans are riding a roller coaster. If Moreno stays in,(according to negative fans) it's because pope can't recruit him back, and same fans said he couldn't develop big guys. Same fans say we can't get any player to pick us over a bigger school Mcbride, Wilkins, Kepnang were all persued by bigger schools. Maybe not stat players, but Wilkins has potential to be.

Question marks are Ousmane and Hawthorne. We got on Ousmane quick and we got him and Mcbride over having Freeman. We also have Hawthorne who did pick us over teams like Duke late in the game last year I believe he redshirted to add more weight to him and was always going to.

Moreno I think comes back and well add another shooter. If not we'll get a foreign big and probably another shooter. The people mad at Pope all the time sorta contradict themselves though First they didn't want any player back from last year, now it's make or break. They also bring out the blowouts but our schedule out of conference and in conference harder than usual and we had pg injuries. That is on pope for not recruiting. I hope we do great because some of our so called fans just hope we lose to get rid of pope. I don't think you can ever be a fan and root for your team to not do well.

Kentucky needs to keep Momcilovic away from Louisville.….PLEASE! Duke made a conscious decision to prioritize continuity, system fit, and multi‑year development, and it’s paying off with great Nike support. Louisville is emptying the bank and stacking high‑end portal talent at a rate that’s honestly hard to ignore. If Louisville gets Momcilovic it is going to be a dog-fight at the top of the ACC unfortunately.

Milcovic is not enough to make any team a contender by himself. If so, Iowa State would have been better last year.
There needs to be good talent around him.

If UK lands Mom, Goodman will say his sources told him UK made up a ton of ground over the past few days, as cover. I enjoy Jeff’s videos, but he does not know nearly as much as he leads us to believe.
