Nope, just talked about that play last night with a state fan. He hadn’t forgotten about it either. Even remembered the name of the player that totally screwed that up. He seemed pretty happy about that. Lol
I know Howe has had tough night in the field, but he's been great for most of the season. And his homer in the fifth got the offense going. Gotta take the good with the bad.
What are we doing with calling these pitches you’re up 5 runs with 2 outs… putting ourselves a real bind for tomorrow in the pen.

I’m happy with the win but really wish we didn’t need to use our two best relievers in game 1 with DeCaro starting.

This isn’t Walker, he’s executing pretty well. But, NCS was basically taking until the account got deeper to run the count up once they had 2 outs. Should’ve been fastball middle over and over.
Good win to start the series! Really just one bad inning. Glauber and McDuffie threw 39 and 43 so will see how that impacts their availability if needed.
We must really think state has nothing in the tank pitching-wise for the rest of the weekend

That kind of game where we need ~40 pitches from Glauber and McDuffie is what scares me about a regional. But good win tonight, had to have it given the pitching matchup and did.
We have to get more length from Jason than 5 innings on a Friday night. He pitched great, but if we go farther, we need at least 6/7.
Forbes never takes the first win of the series for granted in his bullpen usage. Can’t say I blame him
