How about this finish to the roster?

Moreno coming back or staying isnt turning the rest of this roster into contenders. Moreno is an average college center.
That's an absurd hot take even just accounting for starters much less centers at large.

How many centers do you think are in college basketball right now?

The hope for this roster is that they gel better than any team in the country and play complimentary ball. We’re not (no matter who we add at this point) not going to out talent contending teams 1-5, just won’t happen. But we have the chance to (as corny as it sounds) play as a unit like the first Pope team did pre-injury. Gotta hope 1-2 guys step into stardom along the way, but that’s my read on the situation as it stands now. We’ve all seen mega talented rosters fizzle out and lose to teams that played connected, just gotta hope we can do that here.
This is kind of what I've been saying in different words, this roster has 2 true PG that can get to the rim, last year's team didn't after Lowe got hurt & Butler wasn't that great at it even before he got hurt. When you have guards that can create it frees up others for good looks, I think next year's team could be better than year 1.

Zoom and Wilkins compatibility will make or break this season imo. They will both demand so much attention from the defenses just by getting to the paint that if our 3 and 4 can just be average to above average shooters, we can put up catch and shoot points. Now the flip side is they show that they can’t operate without the ball and are wholly unplayable together and we go back to an offense like last year in which case I just hope there’s something else good on TV lol

Zoom & Wilkins can both create, they're also better catch & shoot 3 point shooters than overall (Wilkins 40% Zoom 37.5%) both should shoot the 3 better when the other drives & kicks. McBride can shoot the 3 & so can Morton, we know that Kam can. N'diaye is night & day more athletic than Jelavic, better shooter & can drive by his man. Hawthorne was a top 35 player & I think he's gonna surprise people next year. Mason Williams can even shoot the 3 (40% in H.S) there's pieces on the team that fit how Pope wants to run his offense, hopefully they overachieve & surprise everyone. Calipari showed us all to well that 5* talent doesn't guarantee anything.
