Consiglio's numbers are bad because of one horrible start at Wake. 3.8 ERA outside of that.

Him and Nance are their 2 best arms available, regardless of what the numbers say. Not sure when Nance will be available because he threw 87 pitches Sunday when Stanford roughed him up.

Hoping to see the Diamond Heels & our lady Lacrosse team take on Stanford but they are both going to be playing tonight, a half hour start difference. Best wishes to both!
Recording both to watch.

I think about state having a high powered offense and our offense being anemic, but we have basically equivalent RPG numbers
I still have a hard time believing that we are a top 2 team in the country every time I watch us play because of it. But somehow we always find ways to win and put up runs.

Been an awesome year and obviously very good team, just sometimes the eye test does not match it but I will take it being 41-9-1 in the middle of May. I think that is pretty decent

True Carolina doesn't have the eye-popping hitting numbers that make the experts all swoon, but the Heels are just really good in the most important stat... winning. In fact, they've only had back-to-back losses once all season and nobody else in the country has done that. You have to be really tough and talented to do that. Only UCLA has done better.

He also got lit up pretty well by VT and GT. Not 11 runs in 3.1 IP lit up, but a combined 13 H and 12 ER in 9 IP. Expanding on your point, his ERA in the other 43.1 IP is an impressive 2.08. Let's hope we get bad Cooper instead of good Cooper.

And all 3 of those starts were on the road in what I'd consider hitters ballparks. He only has 2 conference starts at home but both of them are pretty good.

Apart from the opener with ECU, we don’t often get the “bad” outings from opponent pitching. 😉
I’m thankful two of their best have been out for a good portion of the season. They have deepened their pitching staff as a result but not always the results they desired.

Hull and Gallaher barrel up Andrews, but right at defenders....Hull lines out to left, Gallaher into the semi shift at second....4-3, 2 outs
