Maybe it's just me but if I'm coaching a guy that's not hitting or getting better, I have failed in my job. You don't bring guys here that don't have good looking swings. It is my job to see he succeeds and his swing is maintained. Same goes for bunting. If a guy can't bunt, I didn't do my job. It is always on me.Or is it the coaches who can't coach hitting or both?⚾️
If you put the ball on a golf tee, we would swing at it. Set one up at the belt and we'll just look at it.So you're saying we could strike out playing tee-ball?
True, college is not a developmental league and college coaches aren't there to teach players how to hit the ball.Hitting development does not exist within HS or college. It is your responsibility to get instruction elsewhere. You simply follow the coaches hitting approach which may change based on team or pitcher. These kids can hit but are obviously flawed and the approach is terrible.
True although swings never stay the same and go south in a hurry. They are definitely fluid. They evolve on their own into something not good if they are not maintained... all too quickly. lol.True, college is not a developmental league and college coaches aren't there to teach players how to hit the ball.
