Interesting to say the least.
This is definitely a value judgement and relative. Iowa has long preferred to play small and fast. One could argue that Journey was an effective backup 4 (in a 3-out offense) last season as a 5’11” freshman. Ally Disterhoft was a career forward (4-out offense) at only 6’0” and at the end of her career she held the Iowa women’s career scoring record. So Iowa has had relative success with shorter forwards that are faster, quicker, more athletic [& skilled] and relatively effective.6'0" definitely not enough height to be an effective Forward against talent.
Based on the highlights, Ella seems to be a 6-0 guard, but in a 4-out formation, that doesn't really matter much. This is definitely a value judgement and relative.
